The male Anna's Hummingbird looks more like a flying piece of jewelry than a bird - especially at this nesting time of year.
In their thrilling courtship displays, males climb straight up to 130 feet into the air and then swoop to the ground with a curious burst of noise that they produce through their tail feathers. (Cornel Lab of Ornithology). All this while catching the sun to reflect stunning flashes of colour. They flash people with a camera too!
Decided to display all of my dolls of the same character together. I ran out of stands so I decided operetta and spectra won't be represented in this display. I new more stands!!!

Sense on the picture of the polybag shows Lloyd looking like he’s rushing to battle, I have him running in an alley. While also doing some organizing, I found a dumpster from the old spongebob set without the lid, and decided to use it… and pour all the broken droid arms in it with a cat and bag.
Displayed on an elevated glass circle, this wedding cake gives the impression that it's floating above the pile of rocks.
Of a traditional (and very rare nowadays) toy shop, really two streets from our appartment.
Its name is "Pomme de Reinette & pomme d'api", which is a traditional song for young children.

Sandwich Tern

Sandwich Tern was a disapointment of my Estonian Expedition. It was on my top five target list. I saw them often and many, but they seemd to be displaying, flying in groups, fast and high, dancing like weightless fairies. So this was the result.

Room with some of my vintage electronics and telephone displays. These items have all appeared on my photostream here at one time or another.

From BrickWorld 2011, kinda fell apart at the end, but it did still manage to turn out fairly nice.
It has lights for all of the fire and the windows of the fort. The switch is in the middle palm tree. You can also see my small cottage here. Yay it turned out better after I got home!
Couldn't take any decent photos so this one is by Bill Ward.
Displayed at the Museum of Power, Langford, Essex.
The information sheet for this exhibit said that this particular engine with a generator set attached was built in 1949. It had been used in the Selly Oak Telephone Exchange, Birmingham. The engine design allowed for it to be made in 4, 5, 6, and 8 cylinder units with 2.73 litre per cylinder. The RW engine had also been used in some wartime Royal Naval vessels.

Beringia is defined today as the land and maritime area bounded on the west by the Lena River in Russia; on the east by the Mackenzie River in Canada; on the north by 72 degrees north latitude in the Chukchi Sea; and on the south by the tip of the Kamchatka Peninsula. It includes the Chukchi Sea, the Bering Sea, the Bering Strait, the Chukchi and Kamchatka Peninsulas in Russia as well as Alaska in the United States. The area includes land lying on the North American Plate and Siberian land east of the Chersky Range. Historically, it formed a land bridge that was up to 1,000 kilometres (620 mi) wide at its greatest extent and which covered an area as large as British Columbia and Alberta together(1,600,000 square kilometres (620,000 sq mi)). This land bridge connected Asia and North America at various times during the past.
My husband surprised me with a new (bigger) shelf so I could display all of my Pyrex together.
This is all of my Pyrex, minus the Square Flowers 404 with cradle and Gourmet Promotional Casserole with cradle that live on our vintage console radio, and my everyday (beat up) Pyrex that live in the kitchen cupboards.
*edited: I just went to the kitchen and forgot that I kept three pieces of snowflake (as my mail sorter), and Barbed Wire, Golden Hearts, Butterprint 444 and Butterfly Gold II 444 as decoration on top of the fridge*
And I have room for more!
A self portrait of me putting myself 'on display.' I had a different vision in mind but ended up with this. A few weeks ago during a conversation I began to feel bad for not having alot to show in life. I.e. house, wife, kids, etc. But I realized that I had invested in different things than most people. Things that you couldn't touch though. Sooo, I liked the frames empty with nothing tangible to display.
Bounce flash (SB-26) off ceiling @ 1/1 + direct fill flash underexposed 3 stops. Other geek stuff: go to 'more properties.' Photoshop Info: I took out a receptacle that was on the wall and removed the photos in the frames as well as corrected some color. (My hardwood floors threw some red tint back onto the walls.)
*9.15.07, replaced w/ new photo. Balanced skin tone of face and arms.
I was just trying to have a close up shot for this display and playing with my led flashlights and i notice the effect on my orange paint wall. I set it up properly to have a sun effect and there it is. Hope u like it. Added the birds for a dramatic approach. hehehe. If u cant get a chance to shoot sunset...make one. =)
Setup:
1 Led Flashlight on the left
1 Smaller Led flashlight for the sun
1 Led reading lights in front.
