A composite of the phases of the 2017 solar eclipse are represented along with the relative positions of the moon (using an image of the full moon taken on the night of the last lunar eclipse).
He recently lost his hearing but my faithful 15 year old companion, Russell, can still pull off the "puppy look" with passers-by on our walks.

Last week our mail delivery person told us that pussy willows were spotted along the roadside. That bit of information was exciting by its-self, and then the snow buntings arrived, adding further proof that spring is on the horizon. The snow is still deep, and the temperature in the sun is 33 degrees above zero as I write - but for Alaskans, this is the start of spring!

Start messing around with a flower and see what you end up with. It's all in the wrist mixed with a lot of luck, but no AI.
In the middle of winter, I always crave fresh fruit. Not the kind that is picked green in some foreign country - and maybe a month later makes it to the shelf of my little grocery store - looking pretty pathetic. I want it fresh off of the tree or vine - dripping with juices, and the snap of freshness. Usually each summer, a couple of tractor trailers head to Alaska loaded with fresh fruit and vegetables. They set up in Glennallen, and sell right from the trucks - but sadly due to the Corona Virus - those trucks did not arrive last summer - and with all of the travel restrictions still up in Canada - it looks like we will not be seeing them this year either.

A composite image made up of overlapping digital macro images of rough-sawn wood (to produce a complex crosshatched pattern) combined with an unconventional, faceless portrait captured in the early 1970s on BW film using a Minolta SRT-101 (with monotone tinting added more recently).
The pile of boxes and beer bottles stacked high against the alley wall actually appealed to me but none of my best post-processing could convey how I felt until I tweaked it into the realm of the abstract. :D
