Deeply satisfied to have finally tweaked this staircase well beyond the realm of recognizability! :)

People Mover; repurposed.

Day 184

My mid-morning break - a nice thick slice of rhubarb bread with butter, and a cup of French Vanilla coffee.

The rhubarb bread I make, was the Alaskan State Fair blue ribbon winner way back in the mid-nineteen seventies. It is the best I have ever tried, and even rhubarb haters love it. Enough said.

Hello Everyone!

A poppy wanted to play dress-up to look more like a dancer, so I took it to Topaz Studio for editing and effects. Here is the result of my playtime! The photobombing bee is original and was not added via PS. Happy Slider's Sunday! HSS!

I appreciate that you took the time to view this image and to comment. I LOVE hearing from you! Have a fantastic day!

Here's another digital manipulation of the already abstracty concrete structures in downtown Seattle's Freeway Park (before the parks department pressure-washed all of the wonderful mossy green off of them, that is!)

Filter fun for an already abstract architecture. Frank Gehry is the architect. I'm thinking I need to go photograph Gaudi's la Sagrada Familia next, . . .

Bought a load of 'cogs' to use as a backdrop. Placed the broken watch on a glass tube to raise it up above them. Using a 20mm Kenko Extension Tube on my Sigma 17-70 Macro lens at different 'f'-stops ... here's the result with a textured digital effect added to the scene..

I edited this to look like a painting, just a grebe

WOW... let me say that this was one of the hardest days to both title and push away the tablet and say I’m done. I could have worked on this for days! I’m so picky and detailed that the smallest thing would drive me crazy. I’ve never created a sky from scratch. I wanted to take the viewer away from the ordinary. I don’t live near mountains. In fact... the highest elevation in my town is the city dump! This was photographed under a bridge on a lonely road parallel to the FL turnpike. Jenna volunteered for Day 46 early on and the theme just formed over several hours.

I’ll continue this on my blog... give me at least 45 min

Bailey, a beautiful Percheron horse, and her rider pose for a photograph. The old weathered barn in the background is located on the outskirts of Carthage, Illinois. Although I've taken pictures here of the barn with tractors, a horse just seemed to be a natural with the old barn.

I've ridden Bailey once... and dearly loved it! She is kind and gentle. According to Nancy, Bailey's owner (not shown here), "Bailey is the den mother of this group of goofy geldings and a molly mule. She sometimes is off by herself and does appear rather forlorn. She loves attention though she is not one to crowd the gate. She is Yin to Diamond's Yang. She is great fun to ride especially after a long, cold winter. She is full of energy and a little taken with herself. Something of a show-off!"

Update: Incidentally, the barn is no longer there! I drove by it sometime around the end of February (2019) and was surprised to see that it had been removed.

Deep in a forest, that is known as the home of bears, is a beautiful campground overlooking Chilkoot Lake. Heavily forested it is cool and shady even in the middle of the day. Can you imaging just how dark it is at night when the bears are roaming? How comfortable would you feel sleeping in this little tent with big bears walking by just a few feet away? It does afford a truly Alaskan experience for those who can brave it.

Thanks to everyone for visiting , commenting , awards and invitations.

The title is a bit of a joke. I use a generalized linear model as one way to statistically analyze data in my real job. Then this art work's primary attribute is its use of linear perspective, using a very generalized model of such.

It has been a rather dreary and rain soaked day - so I thought I'd add a little color to my photostream with one of my favorite Chevron cars. I just wish I could shrink down to a very tiny person - climb in - and go off exploring.

More processing foolishness with a little help from my friend.

More messing around to see what happens.

This entire image (snapshot really) taken from the car while stuck in traffic, of a fast and furious snow storm, was as bleak and gray as the background. To give the image a focal point and some much needed depth I digitally touched-up the tree in the foreground.

Impressionist manipulation of digital image using filters in Topaz Studio 2.

Things are getting out of hand. I just don't know how this keeps happening. I don't touch AI. Crazy stuff.

Original photographs over-processed in PS and Studio Artist 4. It's not subtle but it is what it is.

For those of you who are enjoying spring flowers - I thought you might like to see my yard in spring. About 2 feet of snow still covers the ground, where the wildflowers will one day bloom. The blue winter shadows are still with us, as the sun rises ever higher in the sky each day. Our burn barrel (in the foreground) is almost 3 foot tall, and the snow is three quarters of the way up it. The bears are eager to leave their dens - but there is nothing for them to eat - but me!!!

Welcome to "spring" in bush Alaska.

Racing on sidewalks (with cell phones) is a common trend & no one looks around anymore until the hit a stop sign......
