Weer genieten.
It is becoming a tradition to go to the RTM on Ascension Day, when the National Steam Day is organized. This year my oldest son and I visited this beautiful museum line in the dunes. The weather was beautiful, the trains were nice. A wonderful day again.

After our Visit last year, we planned to make a visit to the annual 'Najaarsstoomdag' at the Museum Buurt Spoorweg again. Although we didn't have a foggy morning like last year (I love foggy days), we had beautiful weather the whole day. this year the 7742 of the SHM was the guest locomotive which was an extra reason for us to go to the MBS. So mice combination of locomotives and goods and passenger trains ran between Boekelo and Haaksbergen. In the end is was a pleasant, fruitful day along one of the most beautiful heritage railway lines of the Netherlands.

The 'new' station nearer Mallaig Junction (subsequently re-named Fort William Junction) and not the old one on the shore of Loch Linnhe.
No 27 022 waits to depart either Down to Mallaig or Up to Crianlarich and Glasgow; it was probably the latter - Peter was travelling from Mallaig to York that day.

An old photograph taken in Jun 1961 on a 'shed bash/rail tour' taking in Birkenhead Docks, and surrounding area. This is of a John Summers Ltd., North British Locomotive Co. built, 0-6-0D diesel-hydraulic shunter, probably taken in Summers steel plant in Shotton, Flintshire, rather than in Birkenhead Docks.
This is in a rail enthusiast old photo album (owner's name is not known), the photo reverse is annotated with "John Summers Ltd., A 0-6-0D NBL 27749/57, Sun 18th June 1961".
If there are any errors in the above description please let me know. Thanks.
