Midland Red / BMMOs own built 10.5 litre unit. The circular items on 'stalks' are the rudimentary air filters. The engine looks very AEC, but produces more Leyland like sound effects. Note the set back front axle, The bus features Metalastic rubber suspension.

37669 and 97304 “John Tiley” side by side at Welshpool station in the complete darkness – the only illumination came from a tall LED streetlamp on the bypass roundabout. 37669 was running round 97304 and later lead the pair to Machynlleth as part of its ERTMS trials.

97302 TnT with 97304 “John Tiley” cross the new Pont Briwet with the 1Q75 07:45 Machynlleth to Derby RTC via Pwllheli and Aberystwyth, becoming the first loco-hauled train to cross the new bridge. The relative brightness of this photo does nothing to convey the gloom the photo was taken in.
Als full time vader en echtgenoot sta ik, op de incidentele hoofdlijnritten van de SSN of VSM en de evenementen na, bijna niet meer langs het spoor. Wat ik aan NS (of andere maatschappijen) materieel fotografeer is vaak bijvangst van stoom of museummaterieel waar ik voor op uit was getrokken. Dit keer bij het allerlaatste Plandampf evenement in het Werratal tussen Meiningen en Eisenach
As a full-time father and husband I hardly make pictures of regular trains. Almost only when the SSN or VSM has one of their rare main line trips, I am able to catch some regular trains too.
