37669 and 97304 “John Tiley” side by side at Welshpool station in the complete darkness – the only illumination came from a tall LED streetlamp on the bypass roundabout. 37669 was running round 97304 and later lead the pair to Machynlleth as part of its ERTMS trials.

97302 TnT with 97304 “John Tiley” cross the new Pont Briwet with the 1Q75 07:45 Machynlleth to Derby RTC via Pwllheli and Aberystwyth, becoming the first loco-hauled train to cross the new bridge. The relative brightness of this photo does nothing to convey the gloom the photo was taken in.

Als full time vader en echtgenoot sta ik, op de incidentele hoofdlijnritten van de SSN of VSM en de evenementen na, bijna niet meer langs het spoor.
