Took a scenic detour on the drive from Sioux Falls to Fargo. This scene in Northeast South Dakota was a welcome deviation from the interstate.

The weather has been pretty cold and weird around here! We received about a foot (25 cm) of snow yesterday! A little deviation from my snowy shots recently so I won't make you guys all bored :) I have been very busy and had no time for Flickr and photography much.

Have a Wonderful day! I will try to catch up with you guys later.

The black color is also called melanism (derived from the Greek melanos = black). This color deviation is not dominantly hereditary. After all, there are still many more brown than black deer. In addition, a black doe with brown fawn is sometimes seen. That says enough. The advantage for a black deer is that they are not hunted. There is a rumor among hunters that if you shoot a black deer, you die within a year. That really happened once with a hunter in Austria. Since then, no hunter dares to make another attempt, after all, you never know.

FIE002, FIE001 and FIE003 work a diverted 8148 through the Tahmoor deviation to Port Botany.

Ordinarily this train would run via the Main West from Dubbo, however owing to trackwork on not only the West but the North too, resulted in this running via the South.

Shot from the platform above, where space and history meet — a quiet look down at time itself.

This image was taken from directly above, using the main wide lens of the iPhone 12 Pro Max (5.1mm f/1.6), without any tilt.

The EXIF data confirms a top-down perspective, with no distortion or angle deviation.

The subject is aligned and evenly framed — a true overhead shot.

1864 Small England " Palmerston" rounds the spiral on the approach to Dduallt station. 540ft above sea level, the station was the starting point for the FR deviation, a 2.5 mile diversionary route built largely by volunteers between 1965 and 1978 to bypass the FR Hydroelectric power station.

My Monday flower greeting is coming a little bit from the wrong path today. What you see here is obviously not a flower, but part of a flower (although I can't say for sure which one). Since I've never officially committed to buds, I'll let this deviation from the rule pass.

In addition, I have had the urgent need to share this picture with you for days. The picture is one of my first attempts with the Pope Shield Macro Diffuser (this is not a paid advertisement) and I have to say I was blown away from the first moment.

Especially when it comes to getting really close to the object, it used to be very difficult (for clarification, the blade is about 1 cm wide). On the one hand, because the object moved, even if only minimally, or because you had hardly any depth of field due to a very open aperture and had to compensate for it with focus stacking, which was very time-consuming. The latter was often not always possible, mainly (see first) because the object was moving.

This shot is the result of a single attempt, freehand.

If I want to have pictures with a soft bokeh, I will of course go back to the previous techniques. However, if it is in the maximum details, then I am convinced.

I took other shots that rainy day. In the end you can form your own opinion.

I hope you are enjoying the garden tour - a slight deviation from the holiday snaps, which will return!

Peace is always linked to nature. I personally believe that all humans are born peaceful, but when they start doing bad things, they deviate from that peaceful nature they were born with.

Unless that deviation is timely rectified, they will start to rhythmically drown into a muddy pit of sins and eventually lose their humanity. Many examples are clearly seen here and there.

Happy almost weekend, everyone! Just a lil wisp of deviation from my countryside rambling, overflowing with dogs and horses images … but in complete honesty, my beloved bulldog, mini Boom was trotting along beside me even here … and I know it’s a shocker that he’s not jumping right into the frame! Of course, he’s not the most hyper of pups unless it’s a Saturday in the fall and then it’s game on! But alas, it’s the horrid off season. haha 🏈❤️🐾🐶

This shows the Northern end of the Tin Dish Deviation constructed in 1931. The old alignment can be seen as a farmer's track which winds around the hills to the right of the present line and comes out near York Plains on the Southern End. Previously the ruling grade was 1 in 40 with 5 chain curves. The new alignment reduced this to 1 in 75's and 8 chain curves allowing bigger loads and faster journey times. A big project at the time it employed over 200 men and cost over 20,000 pounds to construct. It's been a while now since significant improvements have been made to the Main Southern Line.

Moving farther out onto the mud flats, the low angle of the sun worked well to accentuate the edges of the deviations. Without clouds, the sky is that deadly blue, so it was necessary to make the bottom and foreground look interesting.

Later, I moved beyond this point and out toward the waters edge. However, I quickly turned back to this are because the mud would not hold my weight. As a matter of fact, my tripod legs sank into the mud and they are very light.

I chose this zoom effect to make it look like the fur added by Fleury comes off, leaving the original background as flat as in Mondrian's original expression.

A deviation from Rakhov, as I was looking through some other pictures dating from 1997 and taken on the Slovakian mainline through the Tatras.

These four are new pictures, but in addition I have rescanned and reprocessed earlier uploads to my Album "Slovakia - Tatra Main line", which I believe has given a better quality outcome.

This shot, with one of the multi-voltage 363 class, is just to the east of the station here, and is the 05.50 Bratislava - Košice with some rather smart coaches!

I have learned to Not to take pics of people around here. I have spent 6 days in jail in the last 4 months for taking pics. No, nothing to do with sex or nudity . I am still waiting for another sentence. I live in Trumpistan.

Back and forth, up and down, we travel down the asphalt paths, only focusing on the destination. Deviations are rare, but perhaps we should rethink the hustle and bustle of the here and now, take a moment to step off the well beaten path. On my way to my last photo destination, I spied a bit of white right bellow the heavy bows of the rhododendron, whatever might it be, I had to pause, and turn. And down there, on the forest floor a lovely display dropping down between and over moss covered stone, a lovely little waterfall building a scene just for me, a reminder to enjoy the journey.

Combination of a Kala and Makaras is a traditional design of entrance gate in the areas under Indian cultural influence.

Kala is a head-only deity while Makaras are fish-like creatures. These gargoyles are expected to protect the property from evils. This Nepali version shows some deviations from the original iconography probably due to a geographic isolation from India.

Nepal is a trove of this kind of folk art.

This beautiful dirt road lined with poplars, still partially bare in the early Spring, leads to the farmstead called Mugnaga (which in the Milanese dialect is the word for "apricot"), a large farmstead producing milk, cheese, honey, corn, wheat, and other agricultural products (and hosting a nursery). It was still lockdown time, and I allowed myself a brief sunrise session while going to work. I was lucky enough to find a man and his dog strolling along the dirt road towards the farmstead, in the distance, bathed in the golden light.

In this area there are several traditional Padan farmsteads, which are still inhabited and active - in the Padan plain there are so many dead relics of our rural history... - some of them are fairly ancient, dating back from the 19. or even the 17. century and they are often protected as they have historical and/or artistic value. Italy is quite rich in cultural heritage but well, protection often means, say, that a building of interest cannot be demolished, but can be abandoned to its own (sad) fate. The people who are still living and working in these farmsteads are preserving the memory of generations upon generations of peasants who were the workforce of what had long been the most advanced agricultural region in Europe. They lived in the landowners' farmsteads and worked in the attached fields - families upon families who were payed-in-kind (milk, butter, corn, flour...) and were so poor that when they transferred from one farmstead to another the whole (and quite often numerous) family plus their scant belongings could easily fit in a cart.

I have obtained this picture by blending an exposure bracketing [-2.0/-1.0/0/+1.0/+2.0 EV] by luminosity masks with the Gimp (EXIF data, as usual, refer to the "normal" exposure shot), then I added some final touches with Nik Color Efex Pro 4. Raw files processed with Darktable.

My good old Hanhel tripod caused much trouble on that morning - I had to painstakingly offset against slight horizontal deviations between the five shots of the exposure bracketing, ranging from 3 up to 7 pixels. Luckily it was just a simple horizontal deviation, and I was able to compensate for it. I have just grabbed my new tripod (Rollei C6i carbon), can't wait for trying it! (Incidentally, I have just confirmed the rule that we talk about our poor tripods only when they cause trouble ;-))

Tropaeolum majus, the garden nasturtium, nasturtium, Indian cress or monk's cress, is a species of flowering plant in the family Tropaeolaceae, originating in the Andes from Bolivia north to Colombia. All of the above-ground parts of the plants are edible.

Camera jpeg engine handles red pretty well... bright red is difficult to me when I play with raw files (too dark if not burnt or some color deviation).
