Developed in the early twentieth century, these two buildings - the Millennium Mills and the far smaller Rank Hovis Premier Mills - are all that remains of a previously colossal mill complex that surrounds the pontoon dock. This site would have been astoundingly busy at its peak in the sixties, but sadly the decline in this industry led all the mills (and in fact, almost all industry in the area) to be wound down during the 1970's and 1980's. The Millennium Mills themselves would be some of the last buildings to close, only finally surrendering in 1985 when the Royal Victoria Dock closed to traffic, finally sealing the end for this industrial giant.

Using pioneering new technologies in Superfoods and nutrition, CFTRI has developed amazing new products which are on show at CFTRI stall at Pragati Maidan:
· Chia and Quinoa based Chocolates and Laddoos;
· Omega-3 enriched ice-cream;
· Multigrain banana bar
· Fruit juice based carbonated drinks.
New Delhi, 24th November, 2016: CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), the premier national institute for food technology is exhibiting a range of new agri-products now grown in India, called Superfoods that bring health and nutrition best practices to everyday eating and living to the common man. The exhibits by CFTRI at the Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi both impress and surprise with the range and scope of their utility and potency.
The Indian population is presently going through a nutrition transition and there is an increase in incidence of diabetes, impaired heart health and obesity while there is still rampant malnutrition in the nation.
Keeping in mind an effective solution needed to address these concerns, CSIR-CFTRI is working on bringing Superfoods to the Indian population. CFTRI works on various facets of food technology, food processing, advanced nutrition, Superfoods and allied sciences. Superfoods are foods which have superior nutrition profiles which upon regular consumption can help improve health and wellness of the consumer.
CFTRI has developed the agro-technology for growing Superfoods viz. Chia and Quinoa in Indian conditions. Chia is the richest source of omega-3 fats from a vegetarian source and Quinoa has excellent protein quality and low glycemic load carbohydrates. Comprehensively, Chia and Quinoa have potential to improve population health and both blend seamlessly into traditional food preparations.
CSIR-CFTRI also infuses the spirit of entrepreneurship in their students. One of the doctoral students after completing her academic program started her own technology provider start-up company, Oleome Biosolutions Pvt Ltd. In a global first, CSIR-CFTRI in collaboration with Oleome, has developed a 100% vegetarian, Omega-3-enriched Ice cream called “Nutriice” using Chia oil.
CSIR-CFTRI is also in the process of the final phase of testing of diacylglycerol (DAG) oil, a unique cooking oil that has “Anti-Obesity” functionalities. One can consume it as part of daily regular diet and while the oil is available as energy but does not get stored as fat in our bodies. The final phase of human clinical trial is presently under progress.
CFTRI has also designed and developed snacks with advanced nutrition designs to support the nutrition needs of growing children. These have been implemented in the aganwadi levels to complement the existing government mid-day meal and will be scaled up soon. The products, such as Nutri Chikki with spirulina, rice beverage mix, high protein rusk, energy food, nutri sprinkle, seasame paste and fortified mango bars have been well received by the children and the anganwadis alike. Multi-grain Banana bar is a new addition to in this product portfolio.
Another exciting area of multidisciplinary research being done at CSIR-CFTRI is on nanotechnology, food technology and nutrition. Nanomaterials are known for their characteristic properties and CSIR-CFTRI is working on the use of nanoparticles for various applications. One of our interesting developments is the design and development of food packaging material with nanoparticles with antimicrobial and antioxidant properties to improve shelf-life of processed foods.
CSIR-CFTRI is also working on “Smart Foods” to answer specific needs of the consumer. These promising and specifically designed innovations are being developed for better sleep, better skin health, improved digestion, better cognitive performance and better stress management. The high science is brought into a simple food product, like a cereal bar which helps one to be more attentive over the day, or a unique dosa mix that helps in working out better at the gym with lower perceived exhaustion and even a special soup to help sleep better at night!
Speaking on the sidelines of the CSIR-CFTRI exhibition at Pragati Maidn, Prof. Ram Rajasekharan, Director, CFTRI said “Our mandate is to find innovative solutions to India agricultural and nutritional challenges. Our aim is to develop products to make Indian agriculture productive, efficient and at a consumer level gradually replace drugs with foods that will promote better health and wellness. We strive to deliver our best in improving food security and nutrition security, also developing a stronger, smarter and healthier India”.

Homeopathy was developed by Samuel Hahnemann in 1796. It is one of most positive treatment system because it do not have side effects. Ancient man use plants, mineral to cure diseases, from this we can say that homeopathy is used by thousands of years ago. It is a system of natural medicines using plants and minerals. Over 500 million people are using it worldwide, which makes homeopathy world second most used medicine. Homeopathy doctor in calicut
In India homeopathy is a famous medical treatment. Here we have almost 7000 homeopathic physicians. One of the main another advantage of homeopathy is, anyone including small kids can use it without any side effects. Homeopathy will treat internal, muscular, Cancer, neuro, spinal, learning disabilities, rheumatic, cosmetic, psychological, sexual, gynaecological, pediatric, psychiatric etc.. . Now day’s homeopathy has introduced many health related products other than medicine such as hair dye, different body creams, face wash etc…Another factor which attracts people to homeopathy is that, it is very cheap as compare to other treatments.

NORWALK – As school districts unfold their Teacher Leader Compensation (TLC) programs, they would do well to drop by Norwalk to see what this district is up to.
Now in its second year of implementation, the district has found that its program is not static. Far from it. Leader titles have changed as needs became more focused. And, indeed, some of the leaders have changed.
“Our TLC is constantly focused on the ongoing needs; it doesn’t stay in one place,” said Dawn Schiro, elementary director of teaching and learning. “We sit down with every group and all grade levels and get all of the feedback on what changes we need to make to ensure all needs are being supported.
“Since we first implemented TLC, we have changed job descriptions. We realized technology is huge so we now have a technology component. Some of the roles we had at the beginning we changed. It is ever adjusting. I don’t know if it will ever be the same from year to year.”

The Teddy Bear is a soft toy in the form of a bear. Developed apparently simultaneously by toymakers Morris Michtom in the US and Richard Steiff in Germany in the early years of the 20th century, and named after President Theodore "T.R." Roosevelt, Jr., the teddy bear became an iconic children's toy, celebrated in story, song and film. Since the creation of the first teddy bears, which sought to imitate the form of real bear cubs, "teddies" have greatly varied in form, style and material. They have become collector's items, with older and more rare "teddies" appearing at public auctions. Teddy bears are among the most popular gifts for children and are often given to adults to signify love, congratulations or sympathy.

Developing countries, whose economies often rely heavily on one or two agricultural products, are especially vulnerable to climate change. This graphic shows that with an increase of only 2 degrees Celsius, there would be a dramatic decrease in the amount of land suitable for growing robusta coffee in Uganda.

See also: Abbots of St. Peter
Archaeological excavations carried out in the territory of present-day monastery since 1980 have already brought three mosaics to light. With this could be demonstrated that today's inner courtyard of the Abbey had been developed with a large, beautiful villa complex. The first monastery but was originally located in the area of today's Kapitel (Cathedral chapter) square. The first abbots of the monastery were also simultaneously Bishops (Rupert, Vitalis, Flobrigis, Johannes, Virgil, Adalram, Liupram, Adalwin) respectively archbishops (Theotmar I, Pilgrim I, Odalbert, Egilolf, Herold, Friedrich I, Hartwig).
The main task of the monastery and the Abbot Bishop was in addition to the pastoral care the (Slav) mission. Towards the end of the 9th century, the Benedictine order as base of the monastery became the prevailing factor. 987 convent and archdiocese were separated from each other and the former community of goods abolished. The monastery now by Archbishop Friedrich I land at Mönchsberg rock next the Salzburg Catacombs got assigned, where previously an old cemetery had existed and where soon arose a new monastery building and then a new monastery church. St. Peter, however, remained, in spite of segregation of duties, to the 12th century residence of the Archbishop of Salzburg.
The (meanwhile) monastery had numerous estates in the vicinity of Salzburg. So belonged, for example, farms in Anif and Niederalm to the monastery. In the Old Town of Hallein, at Lower Market, it had an official residence (and much more). 1141 confirmed Archbishop Konrad I the monastery a real estate in Arnsdorf (Lower Austria) in the Wachau, where the monastery then received its wine. Furthermore, the monastery had possessions in Dornbach in the Vienna Woods not far away from Vienna.
In the Middle Ages had the monastery with the influential Peter School and the Scriptorium (creating valuable handwritten books, see also Salzburg Illumination) diverse and important cultural tasks. Today's St. Peter's Abbey has an important collection of paintings and sculptures, and especially of valuable books and documents. The fraternity book (Verbrüderungsbuch) of original monastery is the oldest surviving document in the area of present-day Austria.
Abbot Johann von Staupitz, who remained throughout his lifetime a friend of Martin Luther, is the most famous and most significant abbot of the monastery, who also had significant share in the preparations for the founding of the Benedictine University. He is buried in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Abbey.
As P. Amand Pachler was elected on February 8th, 1657 Abbot of St. Peter, threatened the plans of Prince Archbishop Guidobald Graf von Thun and Hohenstein (1654-1668), to make the Dom square uniform, the St. Peter's Monastery in its existence. It was thanks to Abbot Amand Pachler (1657-1673) that Archbishop Guidobald was thinking his plans over one more time. When the newly elected abbot at St. Joseph's Day of the year 1657 (= March 19) by the Archbishop was invited for lunch, he was able to convince the sovereign with a self-made sketch that it would be better if the north-facing monastery tract was subdivided (parifiziert), ie divided among two owners. While the basement and the Long Gallery should belong to the Archbishop, the rest of the building could be used by the monks.
Archbishop Guidobald agreed with the proposal of the abbot initially under two conditions: First, St. Peter needed to shoulder construction cost alone for the entire building, and secondly, should the facade resemble the one of the residence. Only a little bit later the Archbishop at the urging of his noble Cathedral chapter tied a third condition to the implementation of this construction project: The convent of St. Peter should abstain from the right to lead the way in public processions in favor of the canons. Since the monastery a long-term perspective was more important, it agreed on all conditions of the Prince Archbishop and signed on May 4, 1657 a contract. So the new facade was pulled up in which a number of new cells have been installed and the refectory could be enlarged.
From 1924 bis1926 was under Archabbot Petrus Klotz the Collegium Benedictinum - the Benedictine College - according to plans by Peter Behrens built. In the period between 1939 and 1945, the monastery was expropriated, the monks from 1942 to 1945 mostly expelled from the monastery.
1927, the archbishopric was raised into the status of archabbey. In 1982, in St. Peter the 3rd National Exhibition on the subject St. Peter in Salzburg took place.
The monastery has now (2009) 28 members who also take care of the belonging to the monastery parishes Abtenau, Annaberg, Grödig, Rußbach and Kirchberg as well as the pilgrimage church of Maria Plain and the St. Michael Church at Salzburg Residenz square.
Geschichte
Erzbischöfe (Theotmar I., Pilgrim I., Odalbert, Egilolf, Herold, Friedrich I., Hartwig).
