The sun setting behind power lines and some wind turbines near to Scunthorpe in the UK. This is a zoomed image taken from about 10 miles away from the windmills.
Tigs wasn't about to make his bokeh portrait easy and refused to acknowledge the camera, luckily he's still cute in profile.
And a good excuse to try again another day.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

a wee snapshot I took on my way home from work this evening, when I saw the sunset I just had to stop......
Small marigold flowers are still blooming in the potting shed, despite to winter cold. Shot here with a crab apple - a reminder of their summer glory. Happy Sunday ;o)

Not sure on this one, neither is Andy. Possibly something wrong with the composition/light?
Suggestions/critique welcome.

Cover of my 2010 December Daily. I'm making a "junk" journal this year, using up old art supplies and putting lots of different "junk" and ephemera in my album. Added a variety of index tabs down the side.
Blooming out of season in the same spot for another year. This time there has been 2 separate plants both with multiple, almost flowering heads. The one in the foreground here looked frost damaged, but others had fared better. I'll keep an eye out to see if they flower this time
The last photo of the series with a dedication to Federica. Thank you for all support. It means a lot to me.
Happy December, everyone! It's nearly Christmas!! Here I am, in Gunwharf Quays waiting to meet JJ for a cuppa in Caffe Nero. I had been to my Mum's house for a clear up and was walking through Gunwharf Quays to get the train home. JJ works in an office above the Aspex Gallery in Gunwharf and decided he wanted a break from his computer screen!
gratitudes: the pink sky, cold air, copious amounts of coffee, sunshine through the playroom window, a walk with my girl, singing in four parts, chick-fil-a and pad thai, outburst and wine.
Add some extra twinkle to the frosty air with December's winning theme....DecemBrrr!

Towards Thorpe Marsh at Bramwith Woodhouse ,Doncaster earlier this evening
A more delicate shot with more subtle tones.
I'm presently editing on a third-rate laptop with a dim, almost colourless screen, so please forgive colour discrepancies. My primary computer, which I've come to trust completely, gave up the ghost before Christmas and I've resisted doing any post production until now. I'm sure my current edits will be revisited when I get my 'old reliable' back. I'm pretty much depending on readings from the channels in Curves to process these.
This was to be my 'Happy Christmas to all my Flickr Visitors' image, so here it is now, just a few days late. Thank you all for your regular visits, comments and mail during 2009. My sincere best wishes for 2010. T
