Probably my last post before Christmas so would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their comments and favourites in the past year.
Merry Christmas to all my great contacts.
Is it even Christmas Eve if you're not scrambling to get last minute wrapping done?

This is what December looks like here in Sunny San Diego!
Happy Holidays!
Nearing the last of the luscious, tropical colors from the Smith Chrysanthemum Show. It's been an amazingly warm Autumn here with cold, below freezing, nights but well-above average temperatures during the day. The gardens are responding with February Daphne in bloom and even some of the Spring tulips popping up.
It's a bitter cold Late December day as this SD40-2 with a load of hot pellets heads for Two Harbors.
Beavertail Point is part of Conanicut Island in Jamestown, Rhode Island. The southernmost part of the island is known as Beavertail for its shape on the map. The rocky and windswept point separates the East and West Passages of Narragansett Bay. The area is known for its beautiful coastal scenes. This photo was taken at sunset in December from one of the outlets on the point.
I took this like right before New Years around last December during winter break.
This past week has been lonesome and it really let me reflect on who my friends are. I'm starting to feel most of them just kept me around for my camera, but since they've recently purchased their own and considering I'm currently a cripple, they may not need me anymore. can't wait to get outta here someday and make it to staples center. that'll be the day.

A second version in close up. December view over the Tweed at St Boswells after a rare hard frost. The horses are still in the fields. Scottish Borders. Most of the day the temperature was -5 or -6. Very cold for us.
The lake near Westbury Railway Station. Very misty, very still, very cold!
Colours saturated by +10. Resized.

Looking west over Offats Bayou & Galveston Bay from Teichman Point.
The sunset was beautiful tonight. The Hurricane Ike-damaged docks below, add to this photo nicely, IMHO.
Good news, though, they're in the process of rebuilt.

Crowded, but very nice, and the spot for drinking mulled wine...
