The skies are leaden and scenery umber, with many shades between fading to the horizon. A skiff of snow over harvested fields brightens the scene, but chilly winds from the north ushering in more dampness lets you know it is December in Wisconsin. Just west of Waukesha, Chicago and North Western’s train No. 569, a freight between Butler Yard and Jefferson Junction, heads for Wales through the bleak countryside in December 1983. Four GP7s led by 4319 fill the winter air with the chant of EMD’s 567s… This route is now the Glacial Drumin State Trail; C&NW abandoned the line from Waukesha to Jefferson Junction shortly after this photo.

The weather in the UK is so bad at the moment I have gone back to some pics taken in December, which didn't make my first cut.

Means of transportation differs on the Swedish December seas. My brother choosing the more active alternative :)
Been so busy between work and foster felines that I haven't made time for my monthly "Beauty" series. Here's a snippet of December Beauty.

The early morning commute on December 7 was unseasonably warm and provided one breathtaking view after another until I finally stopped to take some photos. The world is full of mystery and it's all around us.

Vi auguro un Buon Natale e spero che passiate delle serene ed armoniose feste in famiglia. Mi scuso per averlo postato adesso ma domani sarà una giornata un po' movimentata.
I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and I hope that you have a joyous time with your family. I'm sorry to posting it now but tomorrow will be a very busy day.
Realizing I'm a year and a half behind on posting pics, I'm going to try posting by month, and play a bit of catch up. Presenting December of '16.

A Few Of My Favorite Things
My favorite doll :) Coraline has been my friend ever since I took pictures of her every day for my 365 Project and many of you know her very well :) She's so excited about Christmas that she cannot even stand still for a picture ;)
Merry Christmas Eve!!
This was the Imagine mosaic at Strawberry Fields in Central Park on the 30th anniversary of a very sad day. People gathered and paid their respects, thousands as opposed to the hundreds who usually show up on October 9 and December 8th each year.
I like to think of those gatherings of the people at Strawberry Fields as the greatest cover band of all time because it people just singing and remembering the life and times of John Lennon.

[Digital Diary]
December 5, 2004 --Madison, Wisconsin
I have been keeping my digital journal since May 13, 2002 with a Nikon Coolpix 775 (2M P), then a Canon Digital Rebel (6.3 M P) in March 2004 and switched to Canon EOS 20D(8.5M P) in October 2005. Prior to that, I was shooting with SLR for many years. Converted to digital was maybe the singal most important change I ever had about photography. Now that I have whole control of the process of image production.
Shooting outside in a foggy afternoon in December was certainly rare for me. I went to the UW-M Arboretum and shot a few photos. Many of them came out good. That day was one of the rare days I was satisfied with my photos.
By the way, I hope it reminds you of Geroge Winston, one of my favorite pianoists.
Merry Ixnay
She did get an amazing Christmas Present in the mail <3 so we had a pretty great day she and I ;)
