Udalerritik hainbat erreka igarotzen dira: Latsa erreka (eta bertara isurtzen den Zubizabaleta erreka eta azken honen ibaiadarra Mandopixako erreka) eta Urotzeko erreka (biak Errobira isurtzen direlarik). Antzara errekaren ibaiadarra den Urloko erreka ere udalerritik igarotzen da. Urdazuri ibaira isurtzen den Larreko errekak ere udalerria gurutzatzen du, bere ibaiadarrak diren Farendeiko eta Erdiko errekek moduan.

Espelette (en euskera Ezpeleta ocasionalmente en castellano Espeleta)[1] es una localidad y comuna francesa situada en el departamento de Pirineos Atlánticos, en la región de Aquitania y en el territorio histórico vascofrancés de Labort. Su nombre proviene del topónimo en euskera Ezpeleta, voz que significa "bojedal".
Espelette destaca por ser el centro de producción de pimientos de calidad que reciben desde el año 2000 la calificación oficial de AOC Piment d'Espelette-Ezpeletako Biperra así como por la cría de caballos de la raza pottoka. Es la localidad natal del naturalista Armand David, descubridor para el mundo occidental en el siglo XIX de la existencia del panda gigante.
Limita al norte con Ustaritz y Larressore, al oeste con Ainhoa y Souraïde y al este con Itxassou.
El cultivo de pimientos remonta a su introducción en el valle del Nive desde las Américas durante el siglo XVI a la imagen de la introducción por el marino guipúzcoano Gonzalo de Percarteguy del maíz o el trigo de Indias en 1523. El proceso de secado de los pimientos a finales del verano favorece escenas características cuando tiene lugar agrupando largas guirnaldas que se exponen sobre las fachadas y balcones de numerosas casas de la localidad.

Usurbilen abenduaren 10etik urtarrilaren 8ra. Dinakima horren baitan
hainbat ekimen prestatu dituzte, besteak beste, datorren abenduaren 16an,
ostirala, manifestazioa deitu dute preso ohiek Bilbon, arratsaldeko
19:00etan Arriagatik abiatuta. Hona hemen manifestaziora deitzeko
agerraldia:
Kalera, kalera, isolamenduaren aurkako manifestazioa eta gaixo dauden
presoen askatasunaren aldeko martxa Basauriko espetxera
Bost urte pasa dira Aiete-ko prozesua martxan jarri zenetik. Bost urte
hauexetan, estatuen aldetik blokeo eta inmobilismoa izan dira nagusi. Preso
politikoen egoerak aurrera egin ordez, atzera egin du.
Aski da! Gatazkaren ondorioak fase erabakitzailean behingoz jartzea erabat
premiazkoa dela jotzen dugu. Kartzelak hustutzeko jauzi kualitatiboa
emateko garaia heldu dela uste dugu, eta horrela zabaldu eta planteatu nahi

Kalera, kalera ekimena presoak askatzeko eskaera izateaz gain,
konpromisorako eta borrokarako deia ere bada. Hain zuzen ere, bizitza
osoan, modu batera edo bestera, amnistia, bakea eta askatasunaren alde lan
egin duten milaka hiritarri egindako deia. Hemen gaudenok, errepresioa,
espetxea eta erbestea ezagutu dugunok argi utzi nahi dugu ez goazela
etxera, kalera goazela borrokatzen jarraitzera.
Kartzelak behingoz hustutzeko aldarrikapenari ekingo diogu. Gure eskaera
integrala da, baina Espainiako espetxeetan egun ematen ari diren muturreko
egoerak ere ezin ditugu ahaztu. Esan dugu lehen preso politikoen egoerak
atzera egin duela azkeneko urte hauexetan:
Gaixotasun larriak pairatzen dituzten preso politikoen zerrenda txikiagotu
ordez handiagotzen ari da. Bizkaian dagoeneko 4 preso politiko daude egoera
horretan: Ibon Iparragirre (Ondarroa), Txus Martin (Basauri), Gorka Fraile
(Durango) eta Joseba Borde (Ugao). Behar bezalako tratamendu medikoa
jasotzeko askatasun eskaerak behin eta berriro ukatzen ari zaizkie lau
preso hauei.
Bestalde, Arantza Zulueta eta Harriet Iragi, biak Bilboko lagunak,
isolamendu muturreko egoeran aurkitzen dira aspaldidanik. Harriet Iragi, 16
urte isolamendu ziegetan; Arantza Zulueta, 3 urte.
Mendekuan eta xantaia hutsean oinarritutako espetxe politika ezartzen duen
Estatua, Estatu faxista da. Egoera honek urgentzia puntua eman behar dio
gure askatasun eskaerari. Hilabete honen zehar Bizkaiko herrietan
antolatuko diren mobilizazio ekimenetan parte hartzeko deialdia egiten
diogu jendarteari. Bereziki ondorengo bi mobilizazioetan:

Day 1 of our Mt Kailash kora, and most of us opted to walk the first section, from Darchen to Tarboche, just beyond which, at the foot of Chuku monastery, we rendezvoused with the rest of the group, and our yaks which were carrying our main packs. It's the main starting point for the trek these days, with most groups driving there from Darchen. There's some big construction work going on on the other side of the valley, which does not bode well.
We'd been able to leave stuff in the jeeps back at the guest house, so our main packs only had what we needed for the four day trek. Carol and Tashi had decided to allow us one more day than the itinerary, and it proved a wise decision. More practiced pilgrims manage to complete the kora in one day, but most allow three, whether on foot or on pony (which seemed a popular option with many of the Hindu pilgrim groups. For large stretches of the first day we were walking amidst pony packs.
The route took us up the wide, stony river valley of the Lha-chu, which grew gradually narrower and the mountain sides steeper as we climbed. Lots of water running off the mountains. For most of the day the low grey cloud kept Mt Kailash (and other peaks) hidden from view, aside from one magical moment as we passed below the west face, and the clouds lifted to reveal a snow topped peak.
After lunching in a sheltered spot, we continued on to our overnight camp at Dira-puk monastery - by the time we got there it has started to sleet. Thankfully, our tents were up and we could gather in the dining tent for tea and biscuits. Time for Fran and I to take a quick side trip up to see Mt Kailash's shiny black face..... albeit with a scattering of snow.

Diputatu nagusia, Ramiro González eta Ingurumen eta Hirigintza Saileko foru diputatua, José Antonio Galera, Martiodako Faunaren Suspertegiaren kudeaketaren 40 urteko balantzearen aurkezpenean izan dira. Suspertegia ikusiko da, hegaztiei eraztunak jarri zaizkie eta belatz bat askatu da.
El Diputado General, Ramiro González y el Diputado Foral de Medio Ambiente y Urbanismo, José Antonio Galera han asistido a la Presentación del Balance de 40 años de gestión del Centro de Recuperación de Fauna de Mártioda. Se ha visitado el Centro, se han anillado aves y se ha soltado un cernícalo.
