Creatures in Pomona, CA 1/20/11

The pinnacle of Houston Art Car Parade Weekend is the Parade itself! On May 10th, 2014 over 300 jaw-dropping cars, bikes, skaters, and motorized creatures rolled down Allen Parkway, from Waugh Drive to Bagby, and blown the minds of 300,000 spectators.

No idea what this little creature is...found on the beach in Stebbins, Alaska.

Update: per an Alaska Fish & Game fish pathologist, "This appears to be a free living marine isopod. Many are scavengers, predators and there are a few that are parasites on fish but this one is likely a free living scavenger."

See this link for general information.

I have no idea what this is. I thought it was a dropped fishing lure until I picked it up and it wiggled around.

My son was talking about hammerhead sharks and it inspired me. Initially I wanted to make a mech but it eventually evolved into this creature. The main thing that I wanted to use were the green eye pieces. Also finally got to use some of the sharp teeth parts and the tail parts in a build.

In Greek mythology, Geryon was a three-bodied creature who lived far away in the West with his dog, a great herd of cattle, and a herdsman. One of the labors of the hero Herakles was to fetch the cattle for King Eurystheus of Tiryns (see the relief 74.51.2853). The sculptor here has dealt summarily but efficiently with Geryon's arms and legs. The major emphasis is on the decoration of the garment and shields. The skirt of the tunic shows a roughly heraldic scene of two men with large swords battling two rampant lions. The figure may be Herakles performing the feat that gained him the lionskin. The leftmost shield depicts Perseus, accompanied by Athena, beheading the Gorgon Medusa. On the central shield, Herakles carries away one of the Kerkopes while another attacks him. The right shield, now much damaged, shows Herakles shooting a centaur. One wonders whether Herakles the archer (74.51.2500) was taking aim at this Geryon.

Creature design by Christopher Irvin, artist and independent film maker. You interact with his creature by pressing the buttons on it's front arms. They're all controlled by servos that move up and down so it's kind of a trip to try and interact with it. The base houses a computer which controls the servos and runs the interaction program & videos.

CFTBL hipster Tucson style….hahahahaha….etc.

As I flipped through Robert J Lang's 'Origami Sea life', I learnt a pretty few techniques. However, I did one of the techniques wrongly, and that's how I got the toes. This is a creature often seen in the old rpgs, everyone having a different interpretation, mine is a one with 3 horns, a spiky nose and wings.
