Euprotomus vomer can be found on sandy bottom to dephts of 16 - 81 m. The shell is cream coloured with unregulary brown patches.

This is a composite I put together for Sliders Sunday using the Tree Swallow images I took earlier this week. I used 2 images of the birds and 2 of different backgrounds to blend together with a few other slides to tweak the scene. I truly enjoyed watching the aerial dance these birds do while hunting for insects. They skim right over the water and sometimes engage with each other mid air. I am one of those people who likes birds.

Sword ferns often don't get the respect I think they should. They carry on with their lives, not asking much of us. A bit of water and some shade will help the average sword fern thrive. I knew they held a certain beauty with their arching fronds that sheltered the spiders and other little creatures in my garden. In August of 2019, two women tourists reported that they were snapping pictures one night near the Chicago riverfront when they were approached by a pair of alien-like creatures who emitted a strange glow and asked if they had any spare change. At the time, local authorities discounted the report, but a blurry, third-party photo that was purportedly taken just before the encounter has recently surfaced, lending an air of credibility to the story.
