Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe exhibit at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art

An illustration I put together on my break at work. It was a very therapeutic illustration. Created in Paper for iPad.

"Digital Painting meets Traditional Technique"

Beside being named as The Old City, Kotagede is also very famous as Silver City. You will find various kinds of silver handicrafts at various prices sold at front part of local people houses functioning as the gallery at the same time.

Silver handicraft is a culture descended by the ancestor to the next generations. This handicraft is exported to many foreign countries, mainly to Europe.

The MIB Summer Cocktail Reception on July 16th, 2013 allowed mentees to reconnect with their mentor as well as network with other mentors in the MIB Summer Cohort. We wanted to create an opportunity in the summer to enjoy the sunshine, some light appetizers and refreshments with all the program participants.

It was a fantastic summer get together where participants heard about the details for the upcoming October 1st Program Recap & Closing Reception as well as information for nominating their mentor for the "Outstanding Mentor Award".

I had admired these when I saw some lit in someone's yard in town a few weeks back My girls brought these home from a friends house last night (they were left over wedding decorations). We put citronella candles inside and sat out on the porch. What a nice change from open flamed candles to repel bugs and the glare of porch lights.

My friend's father helped to create this peaceful space in his friend's backyard. Dr. Odden wrote the blessings at each point in the labrynth and friends and family helped to decorate the teepee that is pictured.

If you were to start walking the labyrinth you would start at the "in the east sign" and continue..ending in the centre of the labyrinth.

We are creating an Art Float for Social Change at Tam Makers, to inspire more people to participate in democracy. Our parade float will reach out to youth and people of color through art, music and technology. We will present this art show on Earth Day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades in Marin -- and throughout California this fall, to encourage people to vote in the next election.

Our unique art float celebrates mother earth with a carousel of waving hands, pulled by a giant feathered serpent. Performers will tell stories of hope on a stage decorated with scenes of a better world. Large signs will invite people to speak up and vote! You can pitch ideas for social change on the podium, or have them scroll on the news ticker.

This community art project is created by a team of students and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam High School for hosting this project and to all our wonderful volunteers and art, civic and educational partners, for helping create this float and present it to a diverse community.

We are building this project in March and April 2018, on Thursday evenings from 4 to 9pm -- or Saturday mornings from 10am to 1pm. If you would like to volunteer, please email us at float@tammakers.org.

Using my newly-acquired 50mm f1.4 non-Ai lens (it doesn't meter or focus); using f2.8 in the photo.

I'm also also trying out the new flash and the homemade softbox built out of cardboard. It eats up some light but creates a different effect than the umbrella that I just got. The umbrella (43" Westcott) is a nice light modifier and it's super inexpensive, I recommend getting one.

Also, I badly need a haircut.
