Looks like a last second course correction to me but I’ve never ridden a horse at even half that speed so what do I know? Whatever she was doing, it worked.

Across the street from Innerleithen railway station, the track bed has been squeezed by gardens. The metal posts may be of railway origin but may have been moved closer together. To the left was a siding serving warehouses.
For course 5 they brought out what looked to be a more "traditional" french country table setting, including flatware and a lovely fluted etched glass.
Pigeonneau á la St. Claire - a classic french dish from Auguste Escoffier - squab, quenelles of foie, mushroom, caramelized onion, pastry.
Grant Achatz explains this dish - to help "juxtapose classical and contemporary preparations".
Here's the description of Auguste Escoffier's Supremes de Pigeonneaux a la St. Claire:
"With the meat of the legs prepare a mousseline forcemeat, and, with the latter, make some quenelles the size of small olives, and set them to poach. Poële the breasts, without coloration, on a thick litter of sliced onions, and keep them underdone. Add a little velouté to the onions; rub them through a tamis, and put the quenelles in this sauce.
In the middle of a shallow croustade, set a pyramid of cèpes tossed in butter, Raise the fillets; skin them, and set the on the cèpes; coat them with the prepared sauce; surround with a thread of meat glaze, and plant the quenelles all around."
This turned dramatic pretty quickly. Right after I took this, lightning struck straight down the fairway. I was very close to my house, but not as close as I wished! 19/365

One of the holes on the back 9 - this is a public course. I have wanted to play the back 9 for over a year and today I did by playing 18 holes. I got to play with some great ladies and we had so much fun - maybe too much! Look at that blue sky :)
I actually grew up just a few blocks from here and this course has very fond memories for me, but not for golf. When my Dad and I would go fishing for Trout, we would come here very late at night, the night before we would leave, and go to the greens that had been watered and get "nightcrawlers" - that's worms for you non-fishing people. The trout seemed to love them:)

In South France, bullfighting is known alternately as "course libre" or "course camarguaise". This is a bloodless spectacle (for the bulls) in which the objective is to snatch a rosette from the head of a young bull.
For a period of about 15-20 minutes, the raseteurs compete to snatch rosettes (cocarde) tied between the bulls' horns. They don't take the rosette with their bare hands but with a claw-shaped metal instrument called a raset in their hands, hence their name. Afterwards, the bulls are herded back to their pen by gardians (Camarguais cowboys) in a bandido, amidst a great deal of ceremony. The star of these spectacles are the bulls, who get top billing and stand to gain fame and statues in their honor.
Although the course camarguaise does not end in the death of the bull, it is at least as dangerous to the human contestants as a corrida.
but it's a folk festival, where one likes to go in traditional costumes

Why do we get red skies ?....its because in the evening, rays from the sun have to travel larger distance and travel diagonally through various layers of the earth's atmosphere due to which colours of smaller wavelengths get scattered...thus, red colour having the longest wavelength is not scattered as much and is thus, clearly visible...
