Photo quality not great, message still worth sharing. (The heat index was a record high that day in the Midwest; lens was fogged and I was wiped out.)
This is from an experimental art show opening at a random, middle-of-nowhere Indiana farm. Most of the exhibitions were about political awareness, over-consumption, and recycling.

This is one of a selection of the photographs that I took to illustrate my book “Cycling Manchester to The Malverns,” and this group show scenes from the alternative route between Marple and Birmingham via High Peak and Derby. Some of the photographs posted here appear in the book, others don’t, and there are quite a few in the book that are not posted here.
At Tutnall Wharf you need to make a choice, because just in front of you is Tardebigge tunnel that takes the canal to the top of the Tardebigge lock flight. There is no towpath through the tunnel but as usual there is a footpath over the top, and you will find it at the end of the road that is more or less in front of you, slightly to the left and over the bridge. The path will be in front of you at the T-junction you come to but, as you will see when you get there, this section is not currently suitable for cycling and you will need to take the on-road diversion unless you are walking the route.
In brief, very restrictive gates have been put up at both ends of the footpath section. The one at the northern end is the more user-friendly of the two – at least a pedestrian can get through the restrictive gate. But compared to the one at the other end, this is nothing!
It’s difficult to describe the southern one in simple words so I took a photograph of it. Basically there are bits of wood here, there and everywhere, and with what reminds me of a catch pit in the middle. I’m almost surprised that there isn’t a nest of vipers in there. It doesn’t even look like it’s supposed to be a stile – if you didn’t know about such things and you came across a contraption such as this, you would be forgiven for thinking that it was a sheep pen or something, and certainly not a public right of way. You would have to be a really dedicated, determined or just plain bloody minded cyclist to get your bike through this lot. Come to that, you have to be a pretty determined and agile pedestrian to use it as well.
On a more serious note, this is supposed to be a footpath. And a footpath is a public right of way on foot. And a public right of way on foot is something that should not be obstructed by the owner of the land. In my opinion, this contraption is not really following the spirit of the law. I did bring the matter to the attention of the local Public Rights of Way Officer when I was up there taking photographs, and sent a few to the Council to illustrate the situation. They never came back to me so it might be the case that there is an easier to negotiate stile at Tardebigge when you go there, or of course there may not be.
However, if once you have negotiated this little obstacle course you think the fun is over, think again. Once past “the contraption” the footpath leads steeply down a set of concrete steps. And then, in front of you, is the dual carriageway A448 on its way from Bromsgrove to Redditch. The national speed limit applies to this road, which as a dual carriageway means 70mph for most vehicles, which also means that a fair number of them will be hammering towards you at 80-plus. Nevertheless, across this road is the way the route takes you, so take your life in your hands and set off. It’s better to run, but try not to trip up on the way... There is a refuge in the middle so the cars can have two separate goes at bowling you over…
This scene depicts a golf course green with a path running along side it. The model is built at Lego Technic minifigure scale. It features to minifigures with custom torso stickers. The scene includes a golf card, 2 golf bags, and a tree by a sand trap. Hope you enjoy.

Wynn Golf Course, 3131 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, Nevada
The Wynn Golf Course price tag was $21.5 million for the new 18-hole championship golf course replacing the existing Desert Inn course. The 18-hole golf course was designed by Wynn and Tom Fazio. The two also designed the Shadow Creek golf course in North Las Vegas. Wynn told Tom Fazio to build the environment first - and then place the golf course within the environment.
The Wynn Golf Course has rolling greens, white-sand bunkers and rushing streams. Wynn and Fazio had the rolling hills of South Carolina or Georgia in mind during the design. Fazio moved 800,000 cubic yards of dirt to create a 7,042-yard, par-70 layout. Mounding and landscaping keep each hole separate and private on a tight 137 acre site. More than 1,200 mature trees from the old course were replanted—along with 7,000 new ones. According to Fazio the wow-factor feature is a dramatic elevation change and the waterfall on the 18th hole that when finished you drive your cart behind the falls. Why put a tunnel inside a waterfall? What Fazio learned from Steve Wynn is to think outside the box. It’s always about doing things that have never been done before. You’ll notice there are no ropes, no stakes, no ball washers or trash cans on the Wynn Golf Club course. Why? A caddie is required to accompany all golfers and takes care of these items. The green fee is $350 summer, $500 winter.
Wynn plans to transform the golf course's 137 acres into "Wynn Paradise Park" starting in early 2018. Golfers are lamenting the destruction of one of the game's most famous courses. From 1952 until 2002, the Desert Inn Golf Club staged matches and tournaments for some of the biggest celebrities of its time. Construction on Wynn Golf Club began February 11, 2003 and opened on April 22, 2005.
