The 2017 Sri Yantra course with Paramahamsa Vishwananda was a 3-day course that covered the symbolism and worship of the most sacred geometrical figure in all of creation - in all of creation: the Sri Yantra.
During these extraordinary three days, Paramahamsa Vishwananda described the many aspects that form the Sri Yantra and taught the corresponding mudras and mantras necessary to perform Her proper worship.

This Iconic Brutalist building on South Bank hardly needs any introductions. Younger cousin of Royal Festival Hall was a bit of a ‘tearaway punk’ 0f 60s, always liked by architects but has taken considerable time and numerous skateboarders and graffiti to endear itself to Londoners at large and of course the tourists. A fact which may also strangle it due to the over ambitious development plans currently being considered for enlarging and enhancing the facilities for attracting yet more tourists and to ‘milk the cow’ to its limit.
The bold and distinct exteriors are for all to see but the foyer serving Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room is a hidden gem of 60s design and deserves a detailed look to fully appreciate its pincer like tapered grip layout, while its subtle responsive widths, context with the river, pedestrian deck, car park below and the big hug it offers to QE Hall deserves credit which is long overdue.
Most of the major performance buildings of international repute set the scene by attaching elaborate foyers designed like ‘cat-walks’ for seeing and for being-seen for the audience. Here this honour has been reserved for Festival Hall, no more than few yards away. This is appropriate since these concert halls are intended to contrast with smooth modernity and generosity of modern style and scale of Festival Hall, while the issues of aesthetic morality and means of expressing functions and materials are at stake here.
My composite photo above shows the empty foyer in the top row waiting for the original furnishings to arrive. Very few materials are on display, white marble on floor and walls, windows and doors in sand cast aluminium, structure in board marked concrete. Truncated pyramids formed with perforated metal planks with sound absorbing properties on the ceilings also house light fittings.
The middle row shows multi-purpose details, moveable black leather circular seats floating on Perspex base and table top in the middle, sand filled gaps around columns used as ashtrays and avoiding skirtings.
These fittings apparently were never approved or liked by the management and were thrown out at the first available opportunity.
The first photograph in bottom row shows a canteen like layout as see in mid 70s and the last two photos are taken by me recently and show the multi-purpose community use, admirable but miles away from the original intentions and concepts.
In praise of the building, it takes everything in its stride and it can be easily made to revert back to the original concepts or accept sensible changes without too much difficulty.

We are always happy to pay a visit to the London Metropolitan Art Police's amazing HQ at Hackney and tonight our visit was extremely well rewarded. The Art Police proudly showed us their gorgeous horses - these are to be used by mounted officers to speed paint the so-called '10 Foot Fence of Art' that is about to be erected and painted along miles and miles of railway track around London. It is hoped that these larger than life artworks will act as a deterrent to the new breed of disgruntled young artists and writers who may recently have developed ideas about 'self-education', following the recent hike in tuition fees.
Our photo shows one of the first test-run pieces, created at Hackney on a large canvas. We were told that this will be taken to an undisclosed location tomorrow and then erected by their counterparts at the BTP. They will be conducting a user-feedback survey, to determine if the piece achieves the desired effect. If the test proves successful - then expect the 10 Foot Fence - to rock and roll!

From the 10th tee...The River Course at Humber Valley Resort was recently named the best new golf course in Canada by Score Golf Magazine .
What a day!!!
Par four. Dramatic tee shot into the teeth of the wind played from a pulpit 180 ft above the fairway. The fairway is wide but once on it, one's second is long played across and through a large swale. Bunkers, short and left of the green catch any ball struck less than perfectly. The green is highly contoured with a small and very raised platform back right that is very tough to get to if the greenkeeper has had a bad morning! No guarantees of two putts on this green. Ranked toughest on the back nine, this hole deserves its reputation. Par is an excellent score here. Source: www.humbervalley.com/golf.asp
