From the Chemistry of a Lemon to iced tea, and cooking with my favorite bands, it's a old new cookbook kind of thing.
I made a cookbook for my mother a few years ago. 181 pages. Spiral bound. I had some time on my hands.
There are plenty of gems in this cookbook. In fact, I do refer to it from time to time when I'm curious about more traditional preparation of recipes. This cookbook is divided by international cuisines (Chinese, British, US, French, Japanese, Scandinavia, etc) so I can only imagine it was quite chic back in the days.
This is a recipe for sultana scones in the British food chapter. Notice the measuring unit for milk. Gills! I had to google: A unit of volume or capacity, used in dry and liquid measure, equal to 1/4 of a British Imperial pint (142 milliliters). Learn something new.

Made two of these books, one for each of my daughters. I used the Daisy D's Mistletoe Memories, 8x8 Pad, for both of them. Tried to use lots of Hero Arts stamps. There will be a collections of all my Christmas recipes.
Resubmit for the lastminute challenge.
I just bought the greatest cookbook at Sam's Club. It has 1000 pages with a full color page for each recipe with pictures of all the steps and the finished meal. I can't possibly mess it up with all those pictures!

And not enough memories of my great aunt. This was also hers, and was also left behind by her son because it probably isn't worth anything.
So I cleared away a spot on my cookbook shelf for it.
I'm usually the sentimental one in my family. And I often get made fun of for it. But recently my mother bought me the newer Better Homes Cookbook shown above. At first I thought: "thanks Mom. Are you trying to tell me a) I need to cook more, b) my cooking stinks, or c) a and b." But then she pulled out her Better Homes and Gardens cookbook (on the right above). She told me her father had given her a Better Homes and Gardens cookbook when she was young and she's had it ever since. (Over 40 years). My mom is a sweetie. And the cookbooks look cute together.
