In honor of the city's 50th anniversary, The City of Overland Park Planning and Development Services Department created the “From Our House to Yours” cookbook. Proceeds from the cookbook have generated a $1,005.75 donation to support SAFEHOME's services. The cookbook is currently in it's 3rd printing.

Still need some framing, but at least I have shelves now in my cookbook nook!

I won the raffle at the craft show on Saturday. Some neat Tuperware containers and this new cookbook

"California Gold" published by California State Grange. There's some dandies in here.

A couple months ago, I won a giveaway on peasandthankyou.com, my favorite vegan blog. Sarah, Mama Pea, came out with her first cookbook a few months ago and had been having giveaways galore. Out of THOUSANDS of entries, I somehow won an autographed copy of the book and a prize package including an apron, ceramic coffee mug and silicone lid, a reusable grocery bag, and a little promo booklet.

I finally got them in the mail last week from the publisher and have been cooking every night. This amazing book got me out of my cooking rut.
