at the pt cabrillo lighthouse, there is a restored house giving visitors a glimpse into the life of the lighthouse keepers. pt reyes also does an excellent job of portraying the difficult lives these people led. here, there were many period "props" on display, including this cookbook, opened to a recipe for Sour Milk Pudding. i found this interesting since this area was comprised so heavily of dairy farms, yet these people would also have been looking for ways to extend the life of their food. the recipe also calls for "stale corn bread."
unfortunately, i shot with a wide open aperture in the dark house, and my center of focus was a little high, blurring the lower part of the text.
Tamara made me a really cool portable tripod that she learned about on PhotoJojo. I seriously worked that thing trying to get this shot of the light on Doug's cookbooks.
This enhances the flavours of grilled meats and fish but I use it on everything....including scrambled eggs
Cette sauce accompagne en général toutes les grillades (viandes ou poissons)

there was a 'star wars cookbook' at the urban outfitters. turns out if you throw a star wars action figure in with your recipe, it makes it star wars. sweet.
obi-wan works those kebabs.
