Great resto, This car has the factory correct "Scorch Red". The color my car was originally. I will re-paint my car (one day) bringing it back to stock.
My wife talked about this car all night (convertible and automatic). I told her next week I'll make him a offer. She hasn't talked about it since.

I'm sad to see the Little Car go, but it had gotten a bad case of the Rusties. I got new tires last August and the guy called me to say, "You need to come look at this on the lift." Uh-oh. The undercarriage was Swiss-cheesed with rust, and the giant hole in the frame in front of the driver's door was a bit scary. I asked the mechanic, "Is it going to crack in half?" He replied, "Not this week, maybe."
I do wish the people who inspect the car every year had said something about 5 years ago. You know, when it could still be FIXED. Thanks a heap, guys.
The new car is shiny and the hard top convertible is awesome, but still, 17 years is 17 years, and I'd still be driving the Capri if it were roadworthy. I had a photo of this exact car from a desk calendar and a couple years later a neighbor of mine was selling one. I've had it ever since. Fun little car that got 35 mpg.
Ford used to own 10% of Mazda and when they came out with the Miata, Ford decided to make their own convertible. These were built in Australia. It has a Mazda engine and transmission, with things like the window switches from the T-Bird. 1994 was the last year they were made, with fewer than 4,000 produced. Around 400 came in this color and even fewer in this configuration. Tomorrow it goes to auction, where it will likely get sold for junk. The tires have less than 100 miles on them, too.
After my Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce, this makes the 3rd convertible in a row. This might be a thing with me now. Of course, it's only been 20 years, so the jury is still out.
Smart new recolour of the Matchbox VW Beetle Convertible which makes good use of chrome disc wheels which very much suit this casting. Part of a full case of Batch E sourced recently from abroad due to the UK being a Matchbox desert at the moment! Mint and boxed.
I seemed to be near the border of several departments, so there were a few different numbers on the plates (mostly 41 and 37). 33 comes from a bit further afield however, apparently it's Gironde which is quite a way down on the Atlantic coast.
