One from the archives that I hadn't put on earlier. this classy 67 Caddy was on display in Lilydale a few months back. Gave it a bit of a spruce up in photoshop.
This is my 1983 Ford Mustang GLX Convertible.
This car is truly a time capsule as it has only 14,000 original miles and looks and drives like new.
It is equipped with the 5.0 Liter HO engine and 5-speed transmission, air conditioning, TRX suspension & wheels and premium sound AM/FM Cassette.
Almost everything on the car is original; paint, interior and even the exhaust system! The only things I know are not original are the tires and the battery.
I absolutely love Mustangs and have owned quite a few of them over the years. This one is my favourite. The 5.0 Liter engine is strong and pulls nicely and the transmission is crisp and notchy. Because I want to keep this Mustang as pristine as possible, I don't even take it out in the rain.
I took this picture on a late summer Saturday afternoon in a park in Stouffville.
2004 Crimson Red Mustang GT Convertible
40th Anniversary
Crusing the west Detroit suburbs
I grew up with my dad's '79 Mustang Cobra (2.3 turbo), then he had a Ford pool car '86 GT convertible the summer of 1986 nearly every weekend. On my 10th birthday, 1987, his special order 1987 GT convertible arrived (that currently has 39k miles). I bought this car on 2/5/04 and it sleeps for the 11/12 winter with 12k miles. My dad liked it so much with the MagnaFlows, that he also bought a 2004 GT Convertible (Redfire) and dropped his plans for a 460ci Superformance Cobra.
The pony from the grille of my dad's '66 fastback sits here in my den. My mom tried to sell it at a garage sale and I quickly five fingered it.
My daughter currently drives a Power Wheels 2005 Mustang GT convertible...in red of course.

Now looking extremely passe, the VW New Beetle convertible is still a popular casting with most toy manufacturers though. Realtoy have just finally added another new colour to theirs which at this end of the diecast market is probably one of the best. Mint and boxed.
back to the Motorclassica exhibition again - will revisit the Hillclimb again later! I like to keep you all interested!

About the 2007 Camaro Convertible Concept
The 2007 Camaro Convertible Concept was announced January 6, 2007 at the 2007 North American International Auto Show. At a glance it would seem that the only difference between the coupe and convertible concepts would be the roof and Hugger Orange pearl tri-coat paint job with a pair of dark gray racing stripes, but this is not the case. Besides the obvious convertible top, there are subtle changes to the exterior as well. Every surface was changed from the door-cut back. The rear fenderlines drop off from the horizontal surface to the vertical surface a couple of inches farther out than on the coupe to keep proportions good and the rear spoiler was reshaped. The 21 in (53 cm) front and 22 in (56 cm) rear wheels were also redesigned and a thin orange line was applied to the outer edge, a nod to redwalls available circa 1969. There are many interior changes that were incorporated into the new concept. The retro houndstooth-pattern seats of the coupe were replaced with modern leather and orange stitching. The metal finishes, accent panel finishes, and seats are all different colors. The rear seats are 6 in (15 cm) closer together to make room for the tonneau cover. The clarity of the circular gauges in square frames were improved by making the faces white with black chrome numbers and a red anodized needle. The deep-dish three-spoke steering wheel and four-pack gauge cluster carry over from the coupe concept. Chrome seat-belt buckles are designed to look like the iconic belts buckles in late 1960s GM cars. This reworked interior of the Camaro Convertible Concept is now a very close representation of what will be seen in the production version of the Camaro. Production of the Camaro Convertible is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2011 in Oshawa, Ontario, where the coupe is currently assembled.
