A large container ship leaves San Diego

I've been camping again in the container on my Majors Creek property. It's okay for a couple of days... I wouldn't like to live in it long term!

At the first installment of the Back-to-Basics Boot Camp: Survival Skills for Sustainable City Living workshops, presented by ReadyMade and Socrates Sculpture Park, at Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, NYC.

This one was on container gardening, with experts from Eagle Street Rooftop Farms in Brooklyn, and Plant Specialists in LIC. It happened on Sunday, April 18, 2010.

Der Rat der Landeshauptstadt Hannover hatte Anfang 2011 ein Kitaplatz-Sofortprogramm (Drucksache 0644/2011) beschlossen, wonach umgehend stadtweit 300 neue Plätze geschaffen werden müssen – vor allem in Containern. Mitglieder des Jugendhilfeausschusses und der Verwaltung haben sich nun im Rahmen einer Bereisung einige der Container-Kitas in Hannover angeschaut. "Für eine temporäre Nutzung eignen sich die Container. Sie haben eine hohe Qualität und bieten guten Komfort", so dass zukünftige Mitglied im Jugendhilfeausschuss Henning Hofmann.

A skin container to hold magical powder is decorated with seed pods, glass seed beads and cowry shells. The two wooden figures represent the deity Eshu Elegbara who is said to have the power to bring opposites together. The cowries represent fertility, protection and wealth. It dates to before 1868.

Another BNSF train of containers and trailers starts its journey down through the canyon on track 3. It is lead by 4103 (Dash 9-44CW), 7891 (ES44DC) and 6834 (ES44C4).

This is the part of the container crane that grabs the container corners. It has something in it that keeps the container aligned exactly. This was taken at Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica.
