This large Container ship, Asklipios, sails under the Liberian Flag from its home port in Monrovia, Liberia. The vessel was built in 2011 and has a deadweight capacity of 118,814 tons and measures an impressive 1,147 feet in length, nearly a football field longer than the Aircraft Carrier Yorktown in its backdrop.

It is heading under the Arthur Ravenel Bridge to the Port of Charleston to offload cargo. From there it headed to Norfolk, VA and arrived mid-morning the following day.

Shipping containers reused on a construction site

Container City is a small shopping area in Cholula that is created out of shipping containers. It is so cool to see old rusty cantainers repainted and converted into book stores, hair salon, restaurants, coffee shops etc.

Had to hold the camera high to take this shot to see what these were as these are at the back of the cabin at the reclamation site.

This tea container was made for Hangzhou tea. It is decorated with images of West Lake. It does not say what type of tea was in it, but I assume it was Dragon Well Tea.

Art for Art's Sake - Take It or Leave It

A huge container yard behind an old wooden fence.

Etwas überrascht waren wir heute morgen auf der A8. Da hatte wohl eine

LKW, rund 500 Meter vor usn einen seiner zwei Container verloren. Der

ist dann etwas Bergabwärts gerutscht und dann schräg in der Leitplanke

hängen geblieben. Hat etwas Stau verursacht, zu Schaden gekommen scheint

keiner, der Fahrer war gerade ausgestiegen und sicherte die

Unglücksstelle. Da war ich dann doch froh nicht direkt hinter ihm

gefahren zu sein...
