There was a nice Caldari pilot named Phreak42x that made a few kills in the asteroid belt. He gave me permission to loot his wrecks. Nice of him, but in his Drake Battlecruiser he could kill me for stealing, even though he said it was ok, you never know.
So I was able to salvage his wreck which does not cause a criminal flag on my ship, and it ejects the loot into a container. That way, he can come back later and get the loot.
If I took the loot from the container, then my ship would be flagged as criminal and again he would have about 15 minutes to catch me before I docked in a station.
But he was a nice guy and allowed me to loot it, but like I said, you must be careful who to trust in this part of space.
