Taken in October 2013 when Noreen and I travelled on the paddle-steamer Waverley down the Thames from London (Tower Pier) to Southend and back. We left about 9am on a cold misty morning, but this cleared to a lovely warm sunny day. The final leg of the return journey was in a rather chilly twilight.
These are images taken on the jettey at the colombo port shortly after this damaged 20 foot container was removed from the vessel, "Hatsu Smart". Oil can be seen dripping from the bottom of the container and there is a massive hole on the top.
Got these plants yesterday at the home & garden show.
After the wettest, grayest, nastiest winter I can remember we got an early reprieve. I've spent the past few weeks weeding & mulching. Now it's time for real gardening. We also have some major tlc repair work to do to the lawn, no thanks to the freaking city :P

part of an art installation consisting of ten or so 40 ft ISO containers on the area of "buga" (bundesgartenschau, that is: federal garden show, or something) 2005 in munich. the containers were filled and transformed by students of the art academy, munich who won a price for their containerconcept named "evergreen".
