Zwischen Holland und Österreich gibt es einen Güterzug, der auf dem Hin- und Rückweg immer voll beladen ist.
Zuerst bringt der Zug Eisenerz als GM 48979 von Maasvlakte Oost nach Linz Stahlwerke. Danach geht es in Linz von den Stahlwerken zum Stadthafen. Mit Container in Eanos geht es als GM 48976 wieder zurück von Linz Stadthafen nach Maasvlakte Oost.
185 281 + 185 xxx ziehen GM 48976 von Linz Stadthafen nach Maasvlakte Oost und wurden im Bahnhof Hirschaid, am ehemaligen Weichenwärterstellwerk, aufgenommen.
La E656-575 transita sul viadotto di Grizzana (BO), mentre si dirige verso nord con uno shuttle intermodale proveniente da La Spezia Marittima e diretto a Bologna Interporto.
Flying into Singapore today, I was struck afresh by the number of container ships all around it. A LinkedIn article says that Singapore handles 1,000 tons of cargo per minute.

October 18, 2017. Lukavac. Bosna and Hercegovina. A container train hauling by a steam engine 33-504 starts from the station Lukavac.
Probably one of the biggest surprises to me as a railfan in South Florida was driving up around the airport loop and finding double stack land bridge on the run around track on the north side of Runway 9... which led to discovering what FEC (or FECI for that matter) did with the plot of land south of Hialeah Yard on the old Kendall Branch. Quality Container assumed the plot for intermodal ramping operations, primarily of international stacks. Call it an inland port if you will. The operation steadily grew, with a realignment to the bank of the canal in the foreground, and an extension of the operation past the obligatory hook turn the 415 is on. Quality handles routinely about 1,500'-1,800' of intermodal coming from Port Miami or any inbound train on FEC. The 415 is handling empty flats that got ramped here as well as stored on the airport loop, rendering this photo op possible. An uncommon sight, but one more common with Hialeah Yard short of room. In 2022 a new loading spot was added for boxcars consigned to Happy Floors.

I managed to get inside a shipping container storage facility early one morning a few days ago. This photo, the two previous ones and a few more to follow, were taken in around this amazing place until I was 'discovered' and asked to leave.

KRISTIN SCHEPERS (IMO: 9404089) is a Container Ship that was built in 2008 (15 years ago) and is sailing under the flag of Portugal.
Her carrying capacity is 803 TEU and her current draught is reported to be 7.3 meters. Her length overall (LOA) is 140.6 meters and her width is 21.8 meters.

Re:START is an outdoor retail space consisting of temporary buildings made from shipping containers. Opened in October 2011, Re:START has been steadily growing to approximately 40 retailers, a number of food caravans and a market on the weekend.
