This exhibition features work by twelve CCA Architecture students in a fall 2017 advanced architecture studio led by Matt Hutchinson and Adam Marcus. The work explores the architectural detail as a locus for reconsidering contemporary domesticity in the context of new technologies of design, fabrication, and assembly.
Components for the sugar chandelier my chef and I made for a demo at the Glass Distillery on 2/26/15. Made completely of sugar, except for the small piece of wire embedded at the top to hang it from.

This component was machined from a solid block of 17-4 PH steel. All milling and drilling was done on a KPMP CNC mill.

Components in the metal box on top allow the robot to communicate wirelessly with a laptop. The cabin has to be completely sealed to keep out the harsh arctic elements.
