Ideas for the social component:

These would be ear buds that are sold (retail/all around, like the live strong bracelets), with a 5$ donation. The donation goes to shelters for the domestically abused and the purple headphones would generate awarness (they are bright and people usually wear white or black headphones).

After awarness of the campaign has been effective, have a national (or world wide) day where people pledge not to use headphones. This would go along with the idea of using your senses. Hopefully famous people and everyday people would tweet about the day using the hash tag #SenseForPeace, genertaing even more awarness.

here's the abstraction ring combined with an abalone chip inlay component ring- they look like they were made for each other..

I did take all of the metal for this ring out of my scrap bin- the circular inlayed component and the mixed metal component was originally made at the same time
