Hundreds of volunteers and family members braved the cold to place more than 1,800 wreaths on the graves of service members laid to rest at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Dec. 14, 2019, as part of the annual Wreaths Across America event. The event began with a solemn ceremony which included the presentation of wreaths honoring each of the five service branches, Merchant Marines and POW/MIAs. The keynote, Nebraska National Guard Brig. Gen. Lynn Heng, land component commander, reflected on the organization’s mission to “Remember, Honor and Teach.” The ceremony also honored Eldon "Grayson" Robinson, founding member of the planning committee for Wreaths Across America-Lincoln, who passed away earlier this year. The ceremony concluded with a 21-gun salute and the playing of Taps by Arch Hill. Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the organization’s mission is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and at more than 1,700 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad. This was the 10th anniversary of the Lincoln event. (Photo by Lisa JoDean Quigley)

The first batch of components was ordered from Elfa and cost me a fortune. Later I found a way of ordering from Maplin in the UK; a much cheaper method.
