Technical component:
Identifying key features of selected photographer and incorporating the style (family portrait), mood (Relative, warm and cheerful), emotion (love, warm), aesthetic (Satisfaction, take the picture, wait, and smile. I stuck to the simplicity of Deb Will. Smooth background, clarity, and balance.
Choice:
Portraiture in Style. I chose the professional photographer by name of Deb Will. I love black and white portraiture. I enjoy the shading and soft but loud imagery. Her black and white image fair simple and clean. A clean/clear portrait is so much easier to follow. Deb Will's has mastered simple imagery. I elected to keep the editing simple, and soft. It may appear a bit over exposed, but the soft lighting around the primary image is intentional.
Intention/Technical
Since I chose the Portrait theme, the goal in this image was to isolate the portrait subject, bring the subject into the frame without distraction. The subject is centered and portrayed as planned.
Reference to the reading
Much like Duchemin Lesson 57, pgs. 238-251, Lesson 57. “Shoot from the Heart,” I quote, “I did." Duchemin, said, a "Life is too beautiful." I agree. I worked for the image and received the coloration as complementary.
Outcome:
The image is visually engaging, sharp and soft. The primary subject has captured the viewers’ eye. It is soft, and warm.
Edits/ The image was colored balanced for warmth, contemporary. Everything in the frame is meant to be in the frame. The subject was placed into the frame and not simply added.

here's the abstraction ring combined with an abalone chip inlay component ring- they look like they were made for each other..
I did take all of the metal for this ring out of my scrap bin- the circular inlayed component and the mixed metal component was originally made at the same time

Nearing completion.
The main components assembled, this time with the skin and tail piece fitted.
The white areas on the skin are talcum powder that wasn't completely removed during the soaking process.
The skin has been stained brown using instant coffee granules.
