Realising that his use to the Joker is rapidly coming to an end, Wraith is left with no choice but to comply. He kneels down beside the fallen Lamprey-android and begins to cut the robotic head open. The Joker looks on with keen interest.

This is a strip of PCB I cut with a Radio Shack nibbling tool as a test section to exactly hold 5 of my dual-alphanumeric LED displays. The nibbling tool loses a small section of board because it nibbles a ~1/4" swath through it, but the lack of sawdust, noise (I work late in a quiet apartment building), and the incredible precision of the cuts makes it ideal for me. I cut 4 of these board strips from a single Radio Shack board, and they worked perfectly. They hold 20 dual alphanums total, but I need to hold 45, though I'll probably go with fabricated PCBs for the finished product.

The XMC-3311 is a key component in Spectrum's series of software defined digital radio modules from the flexCommâ„¢ wireless communications product line. Just ordered parts for my new combination HTPC/file server. I'm going to replace my NAS and its motley assortment of external hard drives with this box. I'm going to stick it in the den and pipe the HDMI out to the living room TV over CAT5. Once I move the NAS drives in, it'll have 2 terabytes of RAID 1 mirrored space, plus its own 160 GB HD for OS, games, etc.
Here are some of my component canes that I made whilst waiting for my lapidary saw blade to arrive. I came yesterday and I have been sawing my bum off ever since!
