“Clearing” a trail has many components that may require multiple passes. Debris flows, landslides, and rock scree slopes are often unstable and continue to fail after an initial path through the trail corridor has been cleared. Dead and damaged trees falling down continue to be a dynamic force in the burned area.

1. Initially an assessment of the trail condition must be completed so personnel, equipment needs, and safety concerns are addressed prior to the work party. www.fs.usda.gov/goto/crgnsa/TrailStatus

2. Before work can begin, hazards at work sites along the trail are mitigated so volunteers and employees can begin trail work.

3. For trails located above the Historic Columbia River Highway and I-84 , work must be coordinated with ODOT to ensure the safety of workers, volunteers, and vehicles traveling below.

4. Crews generally begin by clearing brush and debris from the trail to create a safe work corridor by filling holes where stumps and root systems burnt out across the trail and stabilizing the tread. Rockfall, landslides, and other debris often take multiple shifts to clear.

5. Once the trail has been cleared of debris and the corridor has been brushed out, crews begin “logging out” the trail- clearing logs and trees that have fallen across the trail.

6. Next, the crew will focus on drainage and finishing tread work (repairs to the walking surface of the trail).

7. In addition, assessments of bridges must be completed and those structures must be repaired or replaced, and inspected, before a trail can safely open to the public.

GFOI partners gathered in Washington DC from 20-21 October 2022 at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service (USFS) IP Offices. The meeting provided an opportunity for wide-ranging and in-depth discussions on a series of issues, including the GFOI’s four components, Family of Resources, Country-Led Planning process, vision, and communications, as well as the hot topics of “GFOI and markets” and “Beyond REDD+”.

The Optoelectronic Component and Materials Laboratories (or OCM Labs) is a collection of graduate students, post doctoral fellows, visiting scientists and research staff who are engaged in investigating an enormous variety of phenomena and devices related to electronic materials and optics. Some of the work involves the basic physics of new semiconductor and organic materials, some focuses on devices using these materials, and yet other work looks at the system impact of optical devices and structures. The unifying goal of our work is the realization of practical optoelectronic devices.

But too noisey (something "clicking" inside the hub)...would send it back, but more hastle than it's worth, etc.

So end up with the spare Scythe Fan in there instead.

A connection that most home theaters can’t function without. Also known as (EIA770.3), (Y/Pb/Pr) or simply “Component Video” is the most common and the most universal connection that can be found in every home theater system. Unlike S-Video or regular Composite, this cable is designed to transmit HD, ED and SD signals. Made of High-Purity Oxygen Free Copper (OFC), it has the characteristics of high conductivity, low signal loss and degradation, low electric resistance and good signal transmission. High-Density double shielding will reduce interference to a minimum, while 24k Gold plated connectors will ensure a tight fit. The featured nylon sleeve will protect the insulation from moist and dust and thus will prevent the aging of the cable.

The jet pack uses only 11 components. These are the two main modules. The one to the left is the support section, holding fuel and oxygen for the pilot to breathe (the oxygen can be used for the thrusters in an emergency), and is interchangeable. The right module contains the actual breathing apparatus, HUD-equipped sunlight-retardant visor, and the main thrusters.

For 10 years employees of Integral Components Inc., a family-run business in Westminster, Md., boxed care packages for deployed service members. In the past four years they've concentrated on Maryland National Guard units. On Nov. 16, 2012, 180 boxes were packed for four Maryland units and one active duty Air Force unit.

"It makes me happy that we're blessed with the ability to do this," said Russ Keiser, vice president of sales for Integral Components Inc. "Hopefully this is the last year we send overseas in Afghanistan. We could bring them [service members] happiness stateside."

Gipiemme offered components across the board although not all of them were made in house. These cool looking, short reach brakes boasted a quick release mechanism, allen key fitting and open ended brake pad housings with Incorporated wheel guides. It was every feature that a more expensive brake had to offer.

The quality was poor with the black painted arms scratching very easily and the chrome finish to the nuts and brake shoes beginning to rust after the first outing in wet weather. "Funky" is once again, the key word.
