The main components recovered from vehicles assigned to scrapping are Bogies, Bufferbeam equipment and brake rigging and associated parts as seen here.
These rod hangers and riser clamps are made of carbon steel. They are capable of supporting 6 to 16 diameter pipes and loads of up to 2,435 lbs. They are used to support and stabilize piping systems and withstand temperatures up to 650 F. The shipment weighed 21,200 lbs.

The sculpture is made up of a number of artificial trees spread about a patch of parkland, with various different items on the branches, from kennels to dustbins and garden chairs.
The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is just of the M1 at West Bretton, near Wakefield and occupies a 500-acre country estate interspersed with numerous outdoor sculptures.
There are numerous trails and paths through various zones, with sculptures by such artists as Henry Moore and Antony Gormley among those whose works are exhibited.
The sculptures – which are regularly moved from place to place within the park – blend into the gardens, hillsides and around a small lake, providing an outdoor environment in which to view the works both from afar and up close – and sometimes even from within.

Put together, pull and watch the animal bob up and down.
Change the mechanism on the drive wheel for more or less bobing.
Karate Monkey's new drivetrain. SIS 2011 wrecked the drive train so a new BB and chain was in order... and a perfect oppurtunity to change the ring and cog. Used Homebrewed Components cog and ring. Great stuff! The chain is a ultra cheap KMC chain.
Went on a walk this morning (legs too sore for a run, and I wanted to wander about with my camera anyway). Quite happy with some of the results.

Este el quinto año del encuentro de corales que se celebra en Real Club Victoria de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria organizado por el propio Club y Radio ECCA. El encuentro comenzó con “puntualidad británica” en la hora prevista y el aforo de la sala, al igual que en años anteriores, estuvo completo. Cinco fueron las corales que actuaron con sus variados estilos y piezas musicales: Coro Masculino ISÓS; Coro Femenino Voces del Guiniguada; Coral Polifónica Villa de Santa Brígida; Coro de los Institutos Diocesanos y la Coral Cantata del Real Club Victoria y ECCA.
Un encuentro con muchas emociones en su parte final en la que se homenajeó a la recientemente desaparecida Ángeles Ibáñez de la Fuente, que fue componente de la Coral Cantata del RCV y ECCA y su directora honorífica.
También fue reconocido en su labor de apoyo organizativo, José Luis Fernández Umpiérrez, adjunto a la dirección de Radio ECCA y responsable de las relaciones institucionales de la entidad.
Finalmente tomó la palabra el presidente del RCV, Francisco Medina Montenegro, que agradeció a la organización, a Radio ECCA y todas las corales, no solo su intervención en las diferentes interpretaciones sino la calidad que cada año sube con gran nivel.

The allied Field Training Exercise (FTX) ‘Noble Justification-14’ will take place on military training areas in Poland and Lithuania during September this year. It is a certification for NATO Special Operations Component (SOC) before taking over combat readiness duties within the NATO Response Forces in 2015 (NRF 2015). Altogether, about 1700 soldiers from 15 countries will take part in the exercise.

In our modern world of one and three step Transformers figure, it`s nice to revisit a time when brainpower and spatial awareness was needed to actually play with these thing.
For the unitiated, Binaltech (or Alternators outside of Japan) was a line of Transformer figures that featured 1:24 scale licensed vehicle modes for a few of the G1 Transformer crew. All vehicles featured opening doors and an actual console area, so if you had 1:24 scale figures you could put them inside. Each figure also featured a component (usually the engine, though no so much in the case of Meister) that transformed into the weapon for the figure.
I never did finsh my collection, but came across these four on kijiji selling for $15 a pop.
The line was definitely ahead of its time, and could probably be considered the basis of Alternity and Masterpiece lines.
While the Hasbro versions featured basic, unpainted plastic, the Takara version, while costing $20 - $30 CAD more per figure, featured the use of die cast metal parts and a kick ass paint job.
The metal did add some issues from a posing perspective, but damn did they ever look nice.
Complexity of transformation definitely rivals current Masterpiece levels. Robot modes were hit and miss, with the good news being that these were homage figures, rather than having to match an actual animation model.
