Each time I have been to this train station I've immediately been grabbed by the crazy collection of curves, straight lines and angles that all crash into each other in these stairwells.

They all seem to be competing with each other.

One of these guys is really a nut and the other is just full of them. Since Yellow M&M is an internal nut and he's also a nutcracker, he wins hands down...plus, he melts in your mouth, not in your hands. =o)

Day 1 Batch 11 and last from day 1.

Then it was time for very young contenders with their ponies.

Wow, did these young girls and boys kept me on my toes with their speed and agility. Missed a lot of shots as neither me or the camera cold keep up all the time. Amazing how good those teams of riders and horses was. A joy to watch. Oboy!

More than 40 student teams from around the U.S. will use their custom-made remote-controlled mining robots to dig in a supersized sandbox filled with regolith simulant and participate in other competition requirements. Parked outside a back steet car wash in Birmingham is this sporty Alvis. The car dates from 20/08/1951, it is a 3litre and it's last liability was 01/05/1991 so at least it still exists. I think it was a competition prepared car because the bumpers have been removed as have the headlights, the dangling chain and string however suggest an unhappy outcome from it's last outing. The photo was taken in around 1972
