Cadets from units across the Force – along with a group from Derbyshire Constabulary – competed in a series of scenario-based tests and a drill competition.
The Blackley unit won the overall prize with cadets from Trafford wining the drill test.
The event took place at the Force’s Sedgley Park Centre with The Lord Mayor of Manchester, Cllr Carl Austin-Behan and the High Sherriff of Greater Manchester Kui Man Gerry Yeung attending as guests of Honour.

I do like how this dance competition changes the background colour with every dance-it really distinguishes each one. Sadly though, this green really didn't help the gals tights (pantyhose) as they danced. It gave a kind of a sickly tint to their legs. I tried to fix this in camera with a saturation boost, and I turned up the reds, but I still think I could have done better

Caption: South Sudan, Rumbek, 2017. Kaya Korengr, 16 years old, at the Eye Clinic, while her sight is being checked. She has been losing her eyesight over the last few months. One of the consequences of the war is that many clinics and first aid centres have been ransacked and destroyed. There is lack of medicines and clinical instruments and this makes it impossible to provide accurate diagnosis and effective therapies.
