Using an art history tool from the "Photoshop Wow Book" CD. It's a watercolor brush. Original photo by Mark.
Here's the comparison shot. It's so funny that Ddungs seem like they're going to be teeny tiny, but they have a big ol nog just like Blythe. Shorter, chubbier bod, but cute big noggin.
The dry air is even affecting April's hair. Arrugh!
Focusing comparison shots.

So the Midnight Magic doll's arms are deceptive. They do not have a ball joint like the actual Monster High doll, only look that way! >:( Her legs, however, are nice solid rubber with the click knees, not hollow plastic like I originally thought. Her hair is soft and manageable. Overall I'd say she's a well made knock off! As you can see, she stands about a head taller than MH.
UPDATE: Her arms really are jointed like MH! They are just poorly molded and hard to bend! :D
nerdy comparison: Bee (right) has 7 lines and soft hair. Denise Hopper (left) has 6 lines and coarse hair. the hair colour is slightly different too.
Hopper has a temporary takara leg !
i took the same shot with Ian/Spirit 57's olympus E-500..using his wide angle lens and although i think this is pretty good for a point and shoot it doesn't come close to the dslr version:

Comparison between me just having started my weight loss (230lbs, 28% body fat), and current (180lbs / 18.2% body fat). I started at 250lbs. Cassidy loves to grab the medicine ball and say to me "so, HOW many of these have you lost?" (10lb medicine ball).
...7.
7..10lb medicine balls (Crazy)
Wednesday is my final post-back-surgery checkup, and SHOULD be the sign off to start rehab :giggity:

yes I know my tummy is much bigger this time around ;-)... or maybe it was just because I was so tiny the first time?! ;-)
As I was going through my photos I wanted to post I noticed some pictures that were very similar though taken in completely different countries. One in Costa Rica one in Minnesota USA. Just for fun. this first one is of a Juvenile Resplendent Quetzal
A comparison of the WhiBal card with the Daylight and Auto white balance settings in Lightroom 3 Beta. Daylight is very close, but like many of the 'daylight' shots I've taken in fall and winter, it looks subtly off to me. Auto WB is way off. The WhiBal card looks the most natural. It's worth pointing out that the foreground twig blurs out in front of the robin's shoulder and wing, coloring those feathers.
The real shot is here.
My review of the WhiBal.
See the slight difference in screen temperature? I must admit after a few hours I got used to the colour temperature. I know most people moaned about it on blogs and I am no different but that was upon first glance. Yes it is much more yellower than the first generation iPhone but it's like comparing a Incandescent bulb to a Flourescent one. Your eyes just get used to it naturally.
