Both processing systems are home built; the automations hopefully will allow me to run this business *and* have a social life! :-)
A comparison between Canons 55-250 f/4-5.6 STM, 70-200 f/4L USM and 70-200 f/2.8L USM lenses. Shot on tripod at the same distance using live view. United raw files from a 7D Mark 2. The difference is pretty negligible with the f/2.8 a bit ahead.
Focus speed on the other hand the L-lenses wins comfortably. The f/2.8 gives me more keepers, probably due the activation of the dual cross type sensor. The f/4 on the other hand is much more portable. The level of "zoom" seems to differ a bit between the lenses, with the 55-250 being the least zoomed in at 200mm.
The lenses are calibrated to my 7D Mark 2. Figured I'd post the results.
Here's a comparison between regular iPhone resolution (on the left) and the new iPhone 4's retina display.
In these screens, focus on the font used on the gameboard - you'll really see a marked difference when you compare the smaller numbers.
PS. Best seen in large resolution.
Black and white, bright and darkness. The careless worker (or current limitation) made this pic possible
Another comparison. Better shot of the face.
Here's a clue to my next project: "RIG." See if you can guess what I'm making now.
Fake (made in China) one is taller and skinnier than a real DDung (made in Korea) who seems more like a pudgy toddler. Fakes do not come in official packaging. Fakes clothing is glued on. They have skimpy undies also, just a pasted piece of ribbon.
Real DDungs clothing can be removed.

I completely goofed on this one, I will admit. They posed, I spun around, took the shot, and THEN realized that I hadn't set my exposure compensation up a stop or two. Whoops! A little exposure-fiddling in ACR and I mostly rescued it.

Collage to compare in-camera JPG and processed RAW versions of same photo.
I wasn't being careful when cropping the closeups, the RAW (upper image) is zoomed one full level closer than the JPG (lower).
Shot with my Canon 400D - KISS Digital X, with Canon 28-135mm IS USM @ F8.0 and 1/250th and ISO 200.
First row front side, second row back side.
The back side of these tessellations looks like a common japanese weave type pattern. It also reminds me of escheresque framework constructions. The blue tessellation features double open (back) triangle twists (as introduced by Madonna Yoder), the yellow one standard (single) open back variants. Additionally, the yellow tessellation is folded with neon printer paper, which intensifies the backlighting effect, making it more transparent. This type of paper (i have only tested one brand so far) appears to be more durable as well, making it a good choice for tessellations.
There is a video tutorial available by Madonna Yoder (Gathering Folds).
iPod 30gb vs. iPod Nano vs. iPhone vs. Blackberry Pearl
Most importantly the blackberry pearl comparison for me.

Just because we're curious... here's bros Z (L) and E (R) at roughly the same age (4 1/2 mos.)
