I would like some feedback about line thickness. This is a comparison: the left is the thickness I usually use and the right is a bit thicker. What do you all think?
So, my new Zenith double body arrived and I did a quick comparison + review right away (before I got lazy), because I haven't seen any comparisons of the two.
I posted the whole thing to my blog.

Just to compare the sizes of their ships.

I've done a very serious comparison between the original leica Summicron 35mm f2 Ver.1 (8-element) and the first version prototype Replica.

Another reflector comparison. Shot in the morning, the sun was coming from behind but the plant is almost entirely in the shade. Both had a 60 cm reflector that was on the left side of the plant.
On the left image, the reflector had the plain white covering on. On the right image, I used the shiny gold covering, which gives a more directed fill light and obviously changes the colour of the light.
I was more after a spring/morning blossom explosion kind of feel out of this picture, and the more colourful image on the right was my keeper.
Both were iso400, the shiny kinds of reflectors tend to be more efficient at bouncing the light, but the distance the white reflector is from the subject can have a major impact on this.
A small gardening aside- all Hellebores are awesome, and that goes triple for a dark double Hellebore like this one:).
Left to Right -> :
Dollmore EVE Chami - 57 cm (+3 cm cheater!)
Human Female - 1,72 cm
Iplehouse Kamau LT - 70,5 cm
Just kept carving and referencing the template.
And then a step that I didn't get photos of. ;_; I covered the whole thing in paper mache (strips of newspaper and paste) to give it a surface for paint. Didn't cover it in anything else to keep a bit of the texture.

Same girl, same location. Just different settings and a little more knowledge about how my camera works :)

Sorry about the stupid white balance, I didn't have it set right.
Sanya: Momocolor Sophie 29cm
Oona: Sugarble Adela 26cm
Sakura: Fairyland Littlefee Luna 23 cm
all three sizes are considered YO.
Momocolor can wear Little fee clothes, but the pant legs/skirts and sleeves will be shorter than on the Littlefee.
Sugarble is an inbetween height but slimmer than the Momocolor girls and the Littlefee. Many Barbie things will fit her.
This'll probably be my last picture until it looks normal again. I gotta give this knee a good workout several times a week so it'll be back to normal.

Decided to compare the potential width of a wooden roadbed instead of a stone/wood combination. The wood is 120mm wide, while the gravel bed is 150 mm wide. The wood would require some vertical planks to keep any ballasting in, so it would probably be about 120+22+22=164 mm wide. That's about 100 mm narrower than the stone and gravel combination.

Totally didn't realize that I didn't upload my box opening + comparisons onto Flickr.

Boiling test: Primus Gravity III vs BRS 3000T (900SEK vs 120SEK)
Boiling (not scientific in any way) 0.5l of cold water in an aluminum kettle.
Primus Gravity III: 7min10sec
BRS 3000T: 6min38sec
Weight:
Primus Gravity III: 250g
BRS 3000T: 27g
My conclusion: The Primus Gravity III is likely better for larger pans/kettles/cups etc as the flame width is much wider. The BRS is perfect for solo hikers as you tend to use smaller cups to boil in. For me the BRS is the clear winner as for pack size and weight AND being the faster boiler for soloists.
42 pounds later...
Knowing that Europeans eat cheese, cream, potatoes, bread and pasta and, yet, aren't chronically obese, I made a point of NOT giving up those things. I love those things. They make me happy. And, indeed, when I eat raw veggies, my stomach sounds like Treebeard. Instead, I've stuck to 1200-1400 calorie count a day. I've been Ms Portion Control - I do eat spaghetti, but I don't each much of it. Instead of thinking, "I'll never be able to eat potatoes again", I plan a fantastic supper absolutely celebrating potatoes, and lovingly prepare them - and eat half a serving if I had more than a salad or Glucerna for lunch. Breakfast is just coffee, and I'll switch back to cereal eventually - just not now. I still ate two Christmas cookies or a piece of chocolate every night in December and every month since then, and if that kept me from losing weight more quickly FUCK IT because cookies are DELICIOUS. And I have a cheat day once a week where I get to eat up to 1800 calories. Those cheat days are great days... no, seriously, they are fantastic. I am so happy after them. Food makes me feel whole. I don't mean gorging myself - I'm not a binge eater. I mean just having a simple, delicious meal. But I can't eat like other people - like my Mom, who can eat everything I do and stay oh-so- fit and trim. Or like most of my friends, who can eat two or three meals a day. I can't do that without gaining weight. So I'm accepting the reality that I cannot eat three meals a day, that I cannot eat until I'm full - I have to pick an amount, put it on my plate, and that's IT.
A good friend of mine recently stated that my pictures were good enough not to require HDR treatment, so i have done a little comparison. Please let me know which you prefer.

The left shows this fashion on a Made To Move body and the right is a Curvy body. The skirt has an elastic waist which allows you slide the skirt on but it IS easier on the basic body. And the Curvy doll does NOT FIT the shoes.
Old comparison shot I put together a few years ago of the differences between some of the MNF girls.
Left to right: Modded Shushu head on 2008 Active line (A-line) with small bust and model legs, Marcia on 2008 A-line with small bust and cutie legs, Rheia on Renewal A-line with full bust and cutie legs.
The Renewal A-line wound up pretty decently shorter as well as thinner than her older counterparts. She also has a cinched in waist for a more prominent hourglass shape.
Also, unlike the old bodies, the Renewed A-line doesn’t have a ledge on the upper thigh piece that helps lock the hip cups in place. It also tends to be pretty bad at sitting up properly compared to the old versions. I had to suede the body to get it to sit on its own without support.
