Comparison pictures of tawny skin (left), old cream white (middle), and new cream white (right).
Pictures were taken in natural, indirect sunlight.
A simple comparison shot between my two latest DCUC Figure acquisitions and my current DCSH figures.
The DCUC Line supersedes the previous line but the scale remains the same so they are compatible.
A comparison of the popular "current" 1/72 Tomcat models to look at shape etc. Academy still seems to be the best.
Comparison of Canon 20-35mm f/2.8L and Leica Elmarit-R35mm f/2.8 @f8
Canon EF 20-35mm f/2.8L@f8
Canon has more contrast, and tends to be redder than Leica
Comparison of the two Jacksons. I really am not sure about basic Jackson. The hairstyle looks as though he's just had two sizes of pudding basin plonked on his head, and the yellow looks dyed, like some kind of colour slice. Added to which, he is shedding bits of hair all the time, as though he had the haircut this morning!! At least GB Jackson's hair looks a bit more styled.
Both dolls are Volks SD-01, "Four Sisters". I love capturing how the same doll looks so different with a change of wigs and/or make-up.
My doll (on the right) was an FCS, and she's wearing another Val Zeitler outfit. It doesn't really fit the SD-10 body ~ but you can't tell from the front. Boots from Mimiwoo, BTW.
Comparison of Dollzone (DZ) and Doll Leaves (DS) white resins on black felt, natural light.
Headcap (top left): DZ white made in Nov 2012 - very bright white
Headcap (top right): DS white made in Nov 2012 - slightly creamy white
Headcap and arm (lower): DS white made in Jan 2012 - mellow creamier white
Hand: DS white made in Dec 2012 - much brighter white than Nov 2012 DS white
There seems to be a lot of variation in the Doll Leaves "white" resin. The hands are the best match to the brighter DZ white. I'm not sure if the January 2012 DS white has yellowed or aged to a darker color, or if it's just variation in batches. The difference is subtle in photos, but more noticable in person.
By comparison, the R1 PCB had fewer, larger components, and placed all the logic at the far edge of the board above the Function row. The R1 also had superior cabling: the cable casing was screwed to the plate frame, and the signal lines have a ferrite bead!
Flame skimmer (left) and cardinal meadowhawk (right).
As common as these two are around the pond, they rarely cooperate this well for comparison pictures.
Canyon Trail Park pond. El Cerrito.
Visual comparison of sensor sizes full frame Nikon D700(crop 1x), Sony Nex-5n(crop 1.5x) and Olympus E-P1(crop 2x)
Another shot of the Liberty 2 spaceship crash and the same area again in 2015. Given the Skipper was already deceased by the time the top photo was taken and Brent is seen in the photo itself, the Liberty 2 was probably equipped with ejectable camera pods which would be automatically released shortly before landings to document same.
Note: Like our previous "Comparison 1" photo, we were probably within about 10' of where the movie cameras were placed. While trying to line up this shot, there is a very small area you can move around in where everything lines up.

Here's just a quick comparison of some of the different slide films I cross processed when I developed color film the other day. They were developed in pretty much the same manner - using a Unicolor C-41 kit with the same times and temps.
On the left side is the way the film scanned in the Epson V500 without any color correction, and on the right side is the way the films look after they've been inverted in Photoshop and had their levels adjusted to achieve more contrast.
If I would have been really cool, I would have taken a picture of the same subject using the same camera with all the different films, but that wasn't possible (and I don't care that much). Just thought it was interesting how drastically different the negative colorations came out. I'd also be interested in seeing if the film format alters the color of the negative, too - if 35mm Fuji Velvia comes out the same as the 4x5 sheet film.
Here's a resin comparison with all the different colors in my house right now.
The best match, both in person and in the photo in any light, is Leekeworld NS with Iplehouse NS. Luts NS is an acceptable match for Leeke, although it's slightly yellower IRL (not quite as pronounced as in the photo).
Comparison between Tulabelle Sweet Tartan and Cami Steampunk. Two dolls with hatd plastic body. Both dolls have vinyl heads. Cami has also arms and legs, hands and feet in vinyl. Their ability to pose is very different.
Comparison: Obi-Wan's EP2, Anakin's Clone Wars Custom, Obi-Wan's Clone Wars, and Anakin's Clone Wars
Totally didn't realize that I didn't upload my box opening + comparisons onto Flickr.
Pretty logo on a nice, clean-looking box. Doll was bubble-wrapped intensely, and between fluffy pillows.
