Comparison of three Dollzone MSD girl body:
- old type (b45-002) body on left,
- new body (b45-008) in a middle
- double jointed body (b45-005 -large bust) on right.
All Normal Pink color.

Also important is just how closely these parts match Lego's colors. And I have to say, fairly well, especially for the dark azure and green. The gold, trans-orange and trans-dark blue were a little pale (but I kind of like the resulting shades), but otherwise pretty good. And of course, the quality isn't even close to Lego's but eh, you don't buy these for quality.

Simple comparison shot of the Sunstar diecast RM and its Revell plastic counterpart. Not a lot to choose between really in terms of quality of detail, but the difference in effort is significant!
The Revell kit is by far the more user friendly option of the two with the Sunstar being a pig to dismantle and reassemble. The kit is also considerably cheaper (depending on where you look), but I was fortunate to get the Sunstar at a very competitive rate, making it worth while doing.
But the two sit very nicely alongside each other.
Side by side comparisons of the first and second versions of the Limited Edition Moana 16 inch dolls. They are both fully deboxed. They are shown both with and without their oars, and both standing and laying down. I have left out the first Moana's Pua and Hei Hei sidekick figures, as I just wanted to compare the dolls themselves.
I just tried three 'normal' lenses on my Sony A6000 via an adapter, a late 1940s Zeiss Tessar 50mm f2.8, a Soviet-era Helios 44-2 58mm f2, and a 1970s Nikkor AI 50mm f1.4.

It's no secret that I do not like the torso joint under the chest. Because WTF the human torso does not bend under the chest; it looks dumb.
Narae: very good
Withdoll: not possible with tight stringing, needs to reach the locking mechanism

Always wanted to see these two together. Not the best lighting, but I love the chance to get these shots!! There is always time to improve.

Comparison between DollShe resin color, AngelsDoll vivid, and Doll-Zone 2011 batch.

Natural light.
The fabrics include: cool white china silk (shimmering), natural white habutae, silk chirimen, milk polysatin.
So, silk comes into different weaves and weight as well. I typically use a slightly heavier habutae, not the most thin stuff available, because it can dye very prettily. However, it's not as thick as chirimen silk (third from left). The chirimen is poofy, soft, and a really lovely texture. I scaled it up a bit, as you can see, so you can tell it's not as nice for smaller, delicate designs, but it can be done. The poly-satin is between the two, but if you want to make a tiny design, using a light or medium-weight habutae is best.

I personally prefer London's size, tbh. He's not too big, not too small, and he looks mature. Just perfect~
Two of my RS boys. Caesium is on the body that normally comes with the Gang. He is the shorter of the two. Andreus is on the original 70cm body that came with the long and... feng I think. I was asked to do a side by side of these bodies for a friend :) I have to admit, I rather like how they feel together. Andreus has so much energy and Cas is always more... withdrawn. I did this picture using light painting which eliminated the need for me to have a cool set or... well to even clean the room up much. I think the exposure of the two pictures I used was each about 15 seconds each. One image was dominantly blue washed while the other was very warm. I like the mix.
