I brought a parachute to a running club that took place in a local market near my volunteer house every Monday night. Seeing the children all work together and express so much enjoyment has shown me the beauty of community development. Empowering youth to be free and creative can inspire them to head into the direction of a brighter future.

Constructed basements for 3 mini water tanks 2. created awareness about health, water and hygiene 3. Conducted games for children 4. Asked village residents to protect environment.
This will help 400 families in 3 remote hamlets to get access for clean water round the clock.

Members of the Heidelberg community made this year's Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 17) a "day on" in service rather than a "day off" in rest.
Following an opening ceremony, the group divided into teams and dispersed into the community to assist with projects such as restoration at the Spiva-Manley House, painting at the Teen Center and playing games with senior citizens at Elmwood at the Shawhan.
On May 1, 2023, the Community Collaborative class under the direction of Professor Ananya Roy joined with the Promise Institute to host the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and Soledad García Muñoz, special rapporteur on economic, social, cultural and environmental rights. During a hearing that included the presentation of research, several presenters talked about their lived experiences at homeless encampments, including one at Echo Park Lake that had been forcibly cleared by law enforcement two years earlier. The focused of this community conversation is September 11th and the lessons we can take away from this tragic event.
For this project, One Armenia is working with us in order to crowdfund for the construction of 4 greenhouses in Tavush region, one of them is going to be in Ditavan Village. We visited the community to see what kind of work the women do now and how the new greenhouses will provide them with new jobs and the opportunity of a salaried income.
