The Hazard Community College has opened up new opportunities and offers a brighter future that is close to home for the citizens of this area. They are now expanding their programs where you can get a Bachelors or a Doctorate in certain fields. The college is an open admissions institution and the tuition and fees are very affordable compared to the other universities in the state. Hazard Community College also offers a variety of financial assistance programs including grants, student employment, scholarships, and loans. The college also assigns an academic advisor who will help you select classes to meet your educational goals. Students can register online and some classes are web enhanced. Going to the Hazard Community College offers me a quality education where I can work a job and still be close to home.
2017-09-21 Atlanta Studies Meetup round 2 ATLMaps Manuels Tavern
What happens when you layer a science project on top of a walking tour on top of an art experiment on top of an archival map on top of demographic data on top of a memoir? What if the archives of multiple universities and other institutions could be accessed on one platform and layered with the projects, stories, and data from researchers, teachers, students, and community groups? The ATLMaps.org project attempts to answer these questions. The platform, a collaboration between Georgia State and Emory University, combines archival maps, geospatial data visualization, and user contributed multimedia location pinpoints to promote investigation into any number of issues about Atlanta.

At the event, we will highlight new features on the site and have speakers on some of our new layers including:
Home Owners Loan Corporation – the neighborhood grading system in the 30s that led to red lining
Downtown Geology Walking Tour – a digitized version of a tour of the types of stone in downtown buildings
Religious Sounds – GSU’s Religious Studies department has added many more locations to their audio recordings of religious spaces
Stone Mountain Granite – a map of many of the structures in Atlanta built with Stone Mountain Granite
Georgia Historical Markers – the text for all the Fulton and Dekalb County markers
West End Cultural Sites – students from Booker T. Washington High created several video clips about important sites in their community
Achieving Blankness – a map of Hannah Palmer’s article in Art Papers about biking around the airport’s loop road
The Plan:
7:00 – Grab some snacks (we will provide a few) and order a drink (that’s on you)
7:15 – Presentations and Q&A
8:30 – Networking, chit chatting, order another drink

www.clownjeca.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/DSC_0010-102... If you are planning a party and you live close to Killenard village, the killenard community center is the right place to do it, but of course with the entertaining provided by the best children entertainer in Ireland, the children Entertainer Jeca the clown. The hall of this place is very big and ideal to a Jeca the clown’ many games and activities and the great floor helps the kids run safety up and down without risk.
Here is some information about this great center:
Since 1990 The Killenard Community Centre, under the curatorship of Michael Cobbe, has been an invaluable local amenity serving the needs of the people of Killenard.
It is used extensively by many groups in the area for Set Dancing, Indoor Soccer, Squash, Badminton, Netball, Basketball and various other sporting activities. The hall is also available for parties and private events.
In addition to the above, there are several smaller rooms available for meetings, Whist, Speech and Drama classes and many other pursuits. There is also a Bottle & Clothing Bank situated at the rear of the centre
I hope be back to soon to this great village to doing a lot clowning around…
