An officer of the United States Army Corps of Engineers speaks to people holding a sit in in support of the Standing Rock Nation at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers headquarters. The protest was one of many in a global day of action against the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) calling on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to cancel the permit for the project. Snapped this in the garden, quite like the image, this is straight out of the camera uncropped, but I was gob smacked to see the detail on this guys eye, pure chance hand held with this narrow dof.

Gemma came to Hull for the weekend, and we went to see Paul Foot again, this time at Hull Truck Theatre.
He was hilarious as always, and such a lovely guy. He always has time to chat after the show, and he remembered us from when we saw him last year in Pocklington.
Afterwards we went to The Star for a couple of drinks and met the new drag queen, the gorgeous Gucci.
Waiting for the show.
i always find the simplest things beautiful, hence the username. and title. of this... :)

This week's contest produced a few more entries than expected. These are the ones we haven't gone through yet -- a few others can be seen in the actual post.
