2000 December - Isle of Arran from above.
Peter's comment below is correct. I had originally captioned this image as being the Isle of Colonsay, when in fact it was taken a few minutes later when we were further SE past the Kintyre peninsula and over the the Isle of Arran. I had used my actual picture of Colonsay to identify the area, and forgot this wasn't just a zoom on the same location. Thanks Peter!
After Peter's first correction I then made a second mistake in identifying this as part of the Isle of Jura! Shameful for someone with Scots ancestry. Always trust local knowledge, and Neil's comment below explains everything, thanks so much to you too! Now I owe all the places a visit with boots on the ground to really experience them.
