The Feuerle Collection is a non-profit organization in Berlin founded by Désiré Feuerle and Sara Puig in 2016.It hosts exquisite, early Imperial Chinese stone and lacquer furniture and Chinese scholar furniture from the Han Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty, from 200 BC to the 17thC, juxtaposed with early Khmer sculptures from the 7th to the 13thC, and international contemporary art by Zeng Fanzhi, Nobuyoshi Araki, Anish Kapoor, James Lee Byars, Cristina Iglesias, and Adam Fuss.Located in a former Second World War telecommunications bunker that has been renovated by British architect John Pawson, the institution encourages a conversation between different periods and cultures, and offers a new perception of ancient art.As part of a 7,350m2 space, The Feuerle Collection has two main exhibition halls, a Sound Room, a Lake Room, and an Incense Room.

Do you remember Lady lovely locks?

When I was eight years old I fell in love with this doll.

Now that I am a big child ;-) I still love them!! Here some pictures to share my collection with you. I started collecting LLL about six years ago...

I purchased Mattel's Cinderella Ladies a few months ago. I have now rebodied them - Lady Tremain is on a Barbie Elvis Pivotal body, The Fairy God Mother is on a pale LIV body and Cinderella is on a Tris articulated body.

Décrite par le magazine The Autocar comme 'une nouvelle étape dans l'évolution des Bentley d'après-guerre', la magnifique berline sportive Continental s'inscrivait dans la grande tradition des voyages confortables à vitesse élevée, depuis sa présentation dans la version R-Type de 1952. Avec l'apparition de la dernière génération des modèles 6 cylindres en 1955, les toutes nouvelles Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud et Bentley S Type, la Continental perdait un peu de sa personnalité, mais pas son exclusivité. Aussi fiable qu'il se soit montré, le six cylindres Rolls-Royce atteignait son ultime phase de développement. Simultanément la marque faisait face à la concurrence de rivales de plus en plus rapides sur le marché américain si vital. Ce furent ces deux raisons qui poussèrent la marque à passer au V8, à l'approche des années 1960.

 

Dévoilées à l'automne 1959, la Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II et la Bentley S2 paraissait identiques à leurs devancières Silver Cloud et S Type, malgré leurs performances nettement supérieures, dues au nouveau moteur en alliage d'aluminium de 6230 cm3. 'La Bentley S2, comme sa jumelle Rolls-Royce, permet de voyager en silence à grande vitesse dans le luxe, conducteur et passagers savourant ce bien-être que seul peut procurer la savoir-faire artisanal britannique. Le V8 avec ses accélérations instantanées contribue certainement à ce résultat et représente un pas en avant considérable de la technologie Rolls-Royce' affirmait Autosport. On notait peu de changement à la transmission, même si la direction assistée était désormais installée en série et la boîte manuelle abandonnée, la boîte automatique maison de Rolls-Royce étant désormais la seule proposée.

 

Construite sous sa forme S2 à moteur V8 à partir de l'automne 1959, la Continental de Bentley restait, comme toujours, un modèle carrossé à façon. Les carrossiers H. J. Mulliner, Park Ward, James Young et Hooper (pour un exemplaire unique) habillèrent tous le châssis Continental S2 qui se distinguait du modèle de série par ses freins avant à quatre étriers, son radiateur plus bas et, jusqu'au châssis n° BC99BY, par un rapport de pont plus élevé. Sur les quatre carrossiers, James Young et Hooper allaient bientôt arrêter leur activité, laissant Mulliner et Park Ward continuer seuls cette noble tradition.

 

L'une des 61 de ce type construites avec conduite à gauche, BC119CZ est un bon exemple de carrosserie style 'ailes tendues' de Park Ward. La Continental fut livrée neuve à Rolls-Royce Inc. à New York, aux Ãtats-Unis, où elle fut vendue par J.S. Inskip Inc. à son premier propriétaire, Gordon P. Kelly de Chicago, dans l'Illinois. La copie du registre des châssis au dossier indique que la voiture était à l'origine bleue Aurore avec capote bleu clair et intérieur assorti, équipée de vitre et d'une antenne électriques, d'une capote électrique et de vitres Sundym. Un seul autre propriétaire est mentionné sur la fiche de châssis, un certain Adrian West de Morrisville, dans le Vermont (à partir d'avril 1971).

 

Depuis avril 2006, la Bentley réside en Hollande. Elle est vendue sortant fraîchement d'une remise à neuf menée par le spécialiste de la marque Gordon Dale Enterprises Ltd et est accompagnée de sa facture détaillée se montant à 20 884 £ (environ 25.200 â¬). Les travaux comprennent la réfection des carburateurs, des freins et de la suspension avant, ainsi que les retouches nécessaires à la carrosserie et une peinture, le remplacement de la batterie, du silencieux central et d'autres pièces.

 

Prête à prendre la route de la Côte d'Azur ou toute autre destination de rêve, cette rare et séduisante Bentley Continental est vendue avec la facture de restauration mentionnée plus haut, un contrôle technique et ses papiers d'immatriculation hollandais.
