Gideon's class craft for the school fundraiser: We had the kids make bugs out of recycled materials then we tagged and mounted them.
They gave their bugs names which we translated into Latin and they listed where they "found" them.

A collection of cat whiskers from my cats. Included are whiskers from Jitterbug, Onyx, Cretia, Kanye and Kaida. Collection total, 12/30/09, is 399.

Started this collection when I got back from a holiday in some European country, kept the rest of the notes and coins,
or kept some original European notes & coins when a country went to the eurozone and started working with the Euro (€)
and now every family member gives me their unused treasures when they come back from travelling ;)

Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room from the Alice S. Kandell Collection
Whether small domestic altars or grand temple halls, the sacred spaces of Tibetan Buddhism are filled with images of enlightened beings and powerful deities. Sites of ritual performance and worship, such spaces present a spiritual hierarchy. Sonorous chants, flickering lamplight, and incense smoke inspire Buddhist practice.
