EDITED WINTER SCENE: This scene was taken through a window indoor on the third floor at McFarlin Manor Chelmsford Housing. This building is "The L. Hussier Insurance Auto Home".

When the coot heard my camera, I got this look. Apparently it was not feeling cute & didn't appreciate having a photo taken.

This morning, the tempreture dropped down to 50s. I went out around 9:00 am and I saw the morning glory flower buds were still not opened.

Long Pond, Parsonsfield, Maine.

The hard winter freeze has come to Parsonsfield over the past few day's bringing record setting cold and strong North West winds.

Wind blown water spray on Long Pond has created many ice formations along the eastern shoreline.

In the 1960's in the summertime this area was very popular for swimming. Now you can't even go down there......Can't even fart today without someone making a stink about it...............

On a very cold winters day these two runners were exercising. Chesterfield Canal is very popular with walkers cyclists and runners. I find that using a Canon 100 - 400mm lens nearly always requires plenty of light. Although I have found you can get something a little different if you try.

In December the sun sets early on an ice covered West Pond.

how cold is too cold for cats in garage? Temperatures below 32°F (0°C) are going to be deadly to a cat that doesn't have adequate shelter just.

Practicing my long exposure water photography on Brown Brook in Parsonsfield today.

It has been cold enough lately to create some nice ice formations along the brook.

Keep warm, my friends!

I was amazed by this beautiful bird spotted during the visit to the Bloedel Conservatory. This is probably another Gouldian Finch, also known as Lady Gouldian Finch or Rainbow Finch, with a different color variation. It is native to North Australia and there is strong evidence of a continuing decline. In 1992, it was classified as "endangered in the wild" under IUCN's criteria C2ai. [Source: Wikipedia]

Really jazzed this is a life lister.

A view of Hooton train station on the Merseyrail Chester Line. An irritating cancelation during the morning commute on a sub zero morning gave me time to route out an angle or two if only to keep warm. Either way it was a cracking morning.

It's Not Often It Snows In The UK - But @ 0500 On Thursday, 30/11/17 - IT HAPPENED!!!

We use to swim here in the summers in the early 1960's...A lot of good memories. There is a quiet basin up from what you see in the picture; and there is a small waterfall to the right that had many ledges to jump off of into the water. It's illegal now to even hike there; which is sad since it is a beautiful place.
