The last flying Avro Vulcan bomber at one of it's last display flights. Captured at the Scottish International Airshow in Ayr, Scotland, in September 2015.
A slightly grainy handheld capture with my old Canon 7D and a 300mm lens from the shoreline. I remember seeing the Vulcan flying at a display as a child during the Cold War years. The sheer noise and iconic 'growl' of these engines was unforgettable.
In honour of Armed Forces Day 2021 and those who have sacrificed all to keep us safe in this world.
Had to use my iPhone as it was too cold to bring out the camera. Bubbles frozen to the snow. It is -33C or -27.4F.

Cold -32°, 50km/hr wind. It was basically a blizzard on the prairies and not a day to be photographing.
A cold winter beach is at first glance a foreboding place. And there are still people who go out to places like this and take pictures!

Winter 2014 in Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso
The spirit of winter it's an hard time for chamois with low temperature and cold wind on the face. Near Ceresole Reale is quite simple to observe them in their environment
Been frosty and cold the last few days - the sea has started to freeze over. There's plenty of hoar frost around giving a very wintry feel. This picture was taken around midday and the sun can be seen quite low in the sky. Glad I don't live too far north in Sweden as I'm not too sure I could handle the long dark days this time of year!
Between Vorupør and Hanstholm, the North Sea carves out a coastline surfers call "Cold Hawaii". A stretch of wind, waves, and wild dunes that feels more Pacific than Danish.
