There is a thing referred to as cold of heart. Which would imply the lack of empathy or care for others, and not in a literal sense for a cybernetic heart?
The other way around you might find yourself looking through the glass of self-criticism and doubt when viewing the conscious mind of something that resembles a machine more than a biological being. Is that cold hearted or could compassion and empathy even evolve from the simplicity of a binary code. For a cybernetic being like General Grievous, who was more biological from the beginning, I could easily make the argument of him being a psychotic killer, as well as a freedom fighter and a hero. But as his heart once, before his demise, beat a steady rhythm, warm of blood, his views were/was as sound to him as my views are to me and I. Which I can say was the case after this shot came out of the camera. The General was thrilled and excited; he even landed a soft and gentle pat on the back, giving his approval for my efforts. I was glad to have brought the sensation of joy to his cybernetic being. I even thought for a moment that I saw him blush.
If you plan on keeping a kennel of 75 plus dogs, and also plan on entering the big races here in Alaska - you'd better like the cold. Just booting up your team for a training run, can numb up your fingers until you can hardly maneuver the Velcro needed to keep those booties on their little canine feet.
If you plan on taking out just 14 dogs, that means you will boot up 56 times. Brrrr . . .
*( The 20/21 Iditarod is scheduled to start on March 6, 2021 in Anchorage. As I write, Anchorage has plenty of snow - but who knows what kind of weather will hit between now and then. Keep tuned . . .)
A bright but cold (sub zero wind chill) today. The towers in the distance are at the Bacton north sea gas terminals north east norfolk.
In this Winter we don't have snow here, but two days ag, in the morning, was quite nice hoarfrost on everything around. This photo I took on the lawn at front of the building, where I live :)

Zima wciąż bezśnieżna, ale dwa dni temu rano był całkiem ładny szron na wszystkim dookoła. To zdjęcie zrobiłam na trawniku przed domem :)

As the sun hadn't made it into the tree lined confines of the line south of Kirkham Abbey there was still a lot of frost along with a little mist along the river valley.

The prevalent winds in the Northern Hemisphere blow over the Great Lakes, picking up moisture, and dump large amount of rain or snow on the coastal counties. This is known as "lake effect". A good example is the Buffalo NY area where they have record levels of snow on a regular basis.
Here is Northern Michigan, we have our "snow belt" where higher amounts of snow are expected. This is highway 131, south of Petoskey where, for a few seconds, the road was visible! And yesterday, the temperature didn't get warmer than -16 C.

After an oddly difficult climb up the snow covered embankment, and multiple falls, I raised my freezing red hands and clicked the shutter. Worth it.
An Endeavor Air CRJ-900 holds short on "Charlie" as a Sun Country 737 rotates off runway 30L on a very cold January morning.
When I was in Oxford back in the late sixties, I lived in Digs and from time to time when my landlady was not around she would leave a "cold dinner plate" in the larder for me. Always good! Confession -- this is not real ice but rather "prop ice" made of acrylic for use in photos and movie sets. For the Smile on Saturday challenge: "Presented on a Plate."
St Michael's Church in the village of Cold Kirby
The present building was erected in 1841. It replaced a much older church, whose origins dated back to the 12th century. The font is the original 12th century one. One of the two bells is from the 13th century. The other is dated 1665, and inscribed "God savee his church".
Cold Kirby is located in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park 5 miles west of Helmsley
