Four Marines with BSRF-14 travelled to Finland to participate in a basic cold-weather skills and Military Operations in Urban Terrain Instructor's course Jan. 6-24, 2014, alongside the Jaeger Brigade and Guard Jaeger Regiment, the Finnish Defence Forces premiere winter-training units.

From one of the first major snow storms of the season just as we're getting into the start of Spring now... was a tough winter. There were some good parts of it, but I'm happy to be finally coming out of it.

Headed out for a 10-miler before work this morning and it was 40 degrees. Brrrr. Time to break out the running pants and long-sleeved shirt.
After last weekend's warm weather, I was not expecting to be wearing lots of layers, a sweater and scarf today...
But hey...it's Thursday...and on Thursday I wear stripes.
