According to our extended forecasts, 2022-2023 will be remembered as a time to shake, shiver, and shovel—a winter season filled with plenty of snow, rain, and mush as well as some record-breaking cold temperatures!

Dormant blueberry bushes turn a beautiful shade of red. Snowcapped, under this purply coloured, evening sky. Low in the sky sunlight reflecting off the barn and snow.

But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
She said you're ramblin' man
You ain't ever gonna change
You gotta gypsy soul to blame
And you were born for leavin'

The temperature was 50℉/10℃ when I took this photo at a windy afternoon. Meanwhile, some guys were enjoying their fishing sport by the ocean. “Hobby” could let lots of people to do some crazy things in unreasonable situation, actually, my behavior was same as them too.
Cold weather works wonders to bring some of our warier birds, like this red-headed woodpecker, out of hiding, as they hunt for more fatty foods to keep themselves warm. The high temperature today of 37 F (3 C) was 20 degrees below normal for October 17th.
This is Fynn a day after his dental surgery and he is okay. The surgery was at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 2 hours later I took him home and he behaved as if nothing had happened. This morning he absolutely wanted to go out in the garden but it was very cold and as he hasn't exactly been healthy lately he had to wear one of his sweaters. Wearing a sweater is something that doesn't bother Fynn at all. I took this quick snapshot as I wanted a photo for an update.
Don't feel obligated to comment on this photo and the other one I post today as I'm behind with commenting myself and doubt that I will be able to catch up. This is a crazy week, not only because of Fynn's surgery but also because I'm drowning in work and I'm quite stressed out.
The sea is partly covered with ice and partly still undulating. The sky is almost overcast and the horizon is glimmering with enchanting sunlight.
When I wave my camera, the sun's rays start moving and float like streaks of light over the sea. The ice floes are also moving and seem to dance on the rippling water.

These are tiny ice formations encasing the needles on my Yew hedges. I took this after a few days of rain and cold weather.
The two macro photos were taken with FinePix S700.

Portrait of a Great Gray Owl hunting during a snow shower. One of my favorite details of these owls that show up in this low light are the gold flecks around the outer cone of its face.
i was driving south with a friend, when we suddenly bumped into this.
I have never seen nature do this before so i was pretty stoked
Yesterday I drove to Genkingen it's on the swabian alb. The weather was very cold and windy but the snow looked fantastic, I shot a few pictures from some woodstacks after that I moved on to other places.
Yep, one more perch shot. With the cold spell we have been having I have not got out to take pictures, in fact I have not been to Elk Island National Park since the snow arrived. My car was acting up, and I did not want to take any unnecessary trips. Replacing a sensor has seemed to have done the trick, and with weather warming today (Currently trying to snow at a balmy -4C,) I expect to get out again soon.
For now I could not resist posting this little cutie perched so nicely and a bit puffed up in the falling snow. There are certainly no shortage of opportunities to get shots of the House Sparrows in my yard, and although they really mow through the food, I have to say that I do enjoy taking shots of them day after day.
