One of my favourite shots from last weekends shoot at Sum Yi Tai. This was a film shot with my Konica C35 film camera.

Today I had a difficult day at work, and a very good friend of mine very kindly invited me for a drink at a cocktail bar after work, just so they could cheer me up. It worked!
Whilst waiting for my friend I decided to partake, and tried a new cocktail called "Lisa's Leisure". It consists of blackberry liquor, French champagne and cherries. It was delicious.
The pink Gerberas (also known as "happy flowers") were a gift for my friend, who is as bright as they are, and provided me with much happiness tonight when I needed it most.
Cheers! Happy Monday to all my Flickr friends and followers!

A photo shoot in Melbourne's Premier Cocktail Bar- "Bar 1806" with a 1920's Prohibition era theme. Another really fun shoot to set up, and some wonderful models to work with.

A photo of the Control Room B Cockail bar from my recent visit to Battersea Power Station redevelopment.
It looked like it was rather beautifully done so I'll have to return some time soon (given the prices, hopefully they'll introduce a Happy Hour......). More info here : www.controlroomb.com/

From the ControlRoomB website, "Prepare to be transported back to the 1950s, where the Engineers of Control Room B work hard to distribute power around the capital every day and night. Guests can soak up the history with champagne, coffees and snacks by day, and a signature menu of live-wire cocktails by night. Opening out onto Turbine Hall B and surrounded by its original control desks, switch gear and synchroscopes, the Control Room is guaranteed to spark excitement with its truly one-of-a-kind backdrop, transforming into an intimate late-night bar in the evenings."

My friend Jon Siegel (www.flickr.com/photos/jonsiegel/) hired two models and invited me to help him on his shoot. I was fortunate to be able to take a few snaps and grateful to be involved. He's a talented guy and I look forward to seeing the results of his work.

Waterfilm is a series filmed since 2012 based on the idea of filming with a freehand camera for a period of exactly one minute.this series illustrates the meditative qualities of water in an urban environment It is my belief that the close observation of this essential element has the ability to influence our perceptions. Each film is intended to be a short meditation – take your time to feel it, but don’t swim away too far...

This is one my favorite "secret" bars in London!
Cahoots is a small cocktail bar, located in what seems like an old abandoned tube station which also served as an air raid shelter in WW2. The entire place is decorated in a post-war context, from the music to the way to the waitresses were dressed. It's such an extraordinary experience that even return clients usually come dressed up, immersing themselves even more in what seems like a scene from an old movie!

Had to pick up a few refreshments on the way home from Little Nan's. I don't think the poor man in the off Licence knew what hit him. Such a fab night.
This is my fifth modular building. Well, to be fair, it's more a modification than it is my own creation.
My husband bought the instructions for the Apple Store a while ago and enjoyed building it a lot. But since we are not that much into Apple he asked me to replace the store by his favourite brand.
I liked the original building but I always thought that it's not quite the right scale and doesn't really fit together with the other modular buildings. So I took the elements that I like (which are the colours, the facade of the ground floor and the layout of the smaller window) and created my own version.
There's now a Microsoft store on the ground floor with real sliding doors. The interior is mainly based on the original one, only adjusted to the different corporate design.
On the first and second floor there are apartments of a comic-strip artist and a musician.
The highlight is the cocktail bar on the roof terrace which is considered an insider's tip among Bricktown.
View over Ho Chi Minh City from the Chill Sky Bar. The bar is a popular location to visit for cocktails with a view of the city.

The Gay Traitor, the cocktail bar located in the basement of The Haçienda was named after Anthony Blunt, a British art historian who had been a spy for the Soviet Union. The two first floor bars were named after Blunt’s fellow spies, Kim Philby and Guy Burgess, whose cover name was Hicks. According to Peter Saville, credit should be given to label head Tony Wilson.

Gardaí are investigating a fire which damaged a well-known pub in Dublin 8 in the early hours of Monday morning. Five units of Dublin Fire Brigade responded to the fire at Drop Dead Twice on Francis Street. The brigade was alerted by an automatic fire alarm and smoke was also seen coming from the premises at around 4.30am.
Firefighters from Tara Street, Dolphins Barn and Donnybrook stations attended the incident. A Garda spokesman said nobody was on the premises when the fire start and the force is continuing its inquiries.
The pub is known for being LGBT friendly and for its cocktails and craft beer. It appears regularly on the list of pubs tourists should visit when in Dublin. On its Facebook page, the owners posted: “It’s safe to say yesterday was a rollercoaster. One we never thought we’d see. A massive heartfelt thank you to @dubfirebrigade who acted so quickly to get the fire out,” they said.
“Amongst the stress and heartache of looking on at our baby charred and broken we were absolutely blown away by all the messages from the wonderful humans who make our place so very, very, special - to us and to others. Seeing this this morning has brought a tear to our eye. we We don’t know how long it will take and what it will look like but we will be back.”
